She developed technology that can store data in DNA.
When she approached Indian investors they refused to fund her company because they wanted quick returns, which BioCompute couldn’t promise.
She also received no meaningful support from the Indian government.
Anagha eventually sold her lab for pennies and moved to the United States. As soon as she arrived investors lined up.

A day after @AndheriLOCA flagged massive dust pollution being caused during demolition work at a site in the main Lokhandwala market in, Andheri (West), @mybmcwardKW issued a stop-work notice to the developer on October 19 for failing to comply with air pollution mitigation guidelines. A penalty of Rs 35,000 was also imposed.
The video showed dust spreading across the surrounding locality during demolition work on Saturday morning. Residents complained that the dust was affecting people living in the neighbourhood as well as pedestrians.
