Notice | ⚠️ Beware of door-to-door driveway paving scams! ⚠️ We’ve been made aware of driveway paving scams taking place in Belleville. If someone comes to your door offering paving services, take the time to do your research before agreeing to any work or making a payment. What to watch for: ⚠️ High-pressure sales tactics or deals that seem too good to be true ⚠️ Requests for cash up front or cash-only payment ⚠️ No written quote, contract or proof of insurance ⚠️ Lack of proper paving equipment ⚠️ Asphalt products produced far away ⚠️ Work being offered without the required permits A right-of-way permit is required when paving your driveway. If a contractor is unable to provide the required permit, this is a key warning sign of a potential scam. 🔗 Learn more: belleville.ca/walk-ride-and-…
