Five years ago I lived one of the craziest days in a lifetime, recording an Odd Lots interview during the morning peak of what would come to be known as meme mania.
GMEdd.com's Rod Alzmann has seen value in $GME since '17, before all the mania hit the stock. Hear how he stuck to his guns over the years til it paid off. Want to hear more? Listen to @TheStalwart & @tracyalloway on the new Odd Lots podcast trib.al/f026Wy1

I added to $LE under $10 on the CEO news sell-off today. Awfully mispriced if they keep executing even modestly post WHP deal, esp. given the $100M share repo is nearly 1/3rd of shares outstanding & the balance sheet was just de-levered/risked. I listened to their 1Q enhanced call (explaining the post deal landscape/targets) and thought the point about embroidery machining for uniforms being a leverage point for consumer directly was an interesting beneficial quirk of their model.

Adding back to $LE here at ten and a quarter. There are a lot of nice right tail scenarios here with a meaningful buyback authorization & the WHP option

Will have some commentary on this & am including it in my forthcoming Seventh Notice, which will also cc & loop in the new auditor. Not alleging anything, just documenting the record. The affected market's illiquid response was ~$1000 in notational traded in the first 25 mins.
$MAPS lease termination.... Well at least 2031 earnings should be good right?

This morning in $UTMD a good example of broker operating choices mattering. Spot price exceeded the odd lot tender fixed $75--allowing nimble shareholders to sell to Mr. Market this morning at prices in excess of the delayed tender payment's present value.
I missed this announcement from yesterday which had a richer spread for a few hours.., $UTMD will be launching a $75/sh fixed price tender for 20% of shares with odd lot priority on the 22nd. Spread currently ~a buck. There's also a $.31/sh dividend, going ex-div Friday

Reporter: „It is not only President Trump but we also heard from Elon Musk saying Zelenskyy has gone too far. Why are they blaming you for the continuation of this war?“ President Zelenskyy: „Because those people can’t find a key how to stop Putin. Because it is more difficult to stop Putin than to pressure others. Because it is more simple to speak about the prices and connect it with Ukraine, while everybody in the world understands that because of the war in the Middle East the prices are rising. They are increasing because of the war in the Middle East, due to the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. Because of this reasons. Everybody understand it. And if you want to speak to people, fairly, it must be clear. They have to hear reality. Don’t play games with people.“

Been recovering from a grade 2 rotator cuff tear... was nice to do some neutral grip pull-ups this week without any pain (other than my forearms & back being sore the ensuing days). Gotten my weekly baseline mileage up to the 35-40mpw range, time to balance out w lifting again.

Real reason he’s mad about Ukrainian airstrikes in his Comrade’s back yard.
According to Cloudflare Data Explorer the amount of russian bot traffic has dropped to 49% after Ukraine struck a yandex data center. Could this disrupt the midterm elections in the US?

Have you all seen Trump’s announcement of his SUPER PUTIN DEAL? Russia promises to immediately supply more than 300,000 tonnes of diesel to the market, including the US, followed by another 500,000 tonnes in November. Then come promises of EVEN BIGGER volumes. Because the deal has to be HUGE. At least in the post. OFAC, of course, wasted no time issuing a temporary waiver until April 7 to accommodate the president’s latest “GENIUS” deal. Except the BIG DEAL is not actually that big. More of a stage prop. Very Trump. Let’s do the maths. Actual numbers. TERRIBLE, I know. 300,000 tonnes is roughly 2.2 million barrels of diesel. 500,000 tonnes is roughly 3.7 million barrels. In September, Russia managed to export just 0.1 million barrels. Basically none, as there is export ban. So Putin has already “sold” Trump a volume 22 TIMES larger than Russia’s entire September exports. Making promises is, of course, easier than rebuilding refineries after Ukrainian strikes. MUCH EASIER. SOME SAY THE EASIEST. Meanwhile, Russia’s diesel export ban remains in force until October 31: the fuel is needed domestically, and Ukrainian drones have significantly reduced Russia’s ability to produce it. A VERY SUCCESSFUL phone call with Trump is unlikely to have fixed those problems. Now for another comparison. Russia’s average monthly diesel exports last year were 18.3 million barrels. The promised deliveries amount to just 12% and 20% of that volume, respectively. So we have a promise that Russia still needs to find a way to fulfil, given the state of its refineries. And even if delivered, it looks considerably less impressive than the presidential CAPS LOCK. Not quite THE GREATEST DEAL IN HISTORY. The political logic is clear. The war with Iran and high fuel prices are a bad backdrop for the elections. One would hope politically FATAL, at this point. The administration desperately needs a story about how the president is about to FIX EVERYTHING. Preferably IMMEDIATELY. Preferably without explaining how we got here in the first place. So perhaps the main product of this deal is not even diesel. It is another attempt to calm the market with a BIG, BEAUTIFUL ANNOUNCEMENT. Let’s see how much credibility these announcements still have. Russia, of course, will sell this as a HUGE VICTORY. And why wouldn’t it? Promise diesel you still need to find somewhere, get a sanctions waiver UPFRONT. Plus another opportunity to tell the world that it simply CANNOT MANAGE WITHOUT RUSSIA. But what worries me most is that this spectacle could weaken our European partners’ resolve. Trump’s latest “breakthrough” must not become an excuse to ease sanctions pressure on Russia — precisely when that pressure needs to INCREASE. Of course, this decision will benefit Russia by generating additional revenues. We’ll be watching how much of its export capacity Russia actually manages to restore. One thing is CLEAR: Ukrainian strikes on Russian refineries need to INTENSIFY.

Scott Bessent, at his confirmation hearing in Jan/2025 to be Treasury Secretary: "the tragedy going on in Ukraine is one of the greatest tragedies of my adult life ... I believe that the sanctions [on Russia] were not fulsome enough. I believe that the previous administration was worried about raising US energy prices during an election season... if I'm confirmed and if President Trump requests ...I will be 100% on board for taking sanctions up." Mark Warner (D-VA): "I very much appreciate your willingness and I hope you will be an advocate for keeping those sanctions on and actually advancing them even further." rev.com/transcripts/scott-be…
Today, at President Trump’s direction, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) is immediately issuing a temporary general license to allow the supply of Russian diesel to the global market.
