A few short weeks ago, I listened as John Douglas told me how excited he was to be back out on the road, just him and his Eddi, touring through the country in their car, guitars in the back, gigging in huts and halls, like they did when it all began. Thrilled by the prospect of their first album of duets, which he’d told me about as we waited for coffee in a cafe a few weeks before. I wrote it all down, talk of the new Trashcan Sinatras record, how he and Eddi grew together, personally and musically, as the pair of them zoom called from their car at the side of the road, for my story in the paper.
