Before a leader's vision, mission, strategic plan, data presentation, or ROI report, great teams follow the person. Core values, demonstrated by action, define a leader in ways that may not be measured but will always be felt directly by everyone involved. #LeadershipMatters

I don’t do the politics thing publicly and will keep it out of my professional profiles, but I will say this.
When you vote PLEASE vote for the candidate who you think best fits your morals, and hopes for the future of your community.
PLEASE DON’T VOTE FOR THE LETTER NEXT TO THEIR NAME. See through the campaign lies and do your research on each candidate regardless of party affiliation.

Inheritance is what you leave for people.
Legacy is what you leave in them.
Most of us spend a lifetime building things to hand down — money, property, a plan.
Far less time goes into what actually stays with people after we're gone.
One is inheritance.
The other is legacy.
They're not the same thing, and only one of them takes real intention to build.

When you’re not the one responsible for teaching 28 students in a classroom every day, it’s easy to romanticize theories about inclusion, allowing students with ADHD to learn in their own way, and the supposed tyranny of classroom management.
But when bottles are flying, students are screaming, and chaos erupts every two minutes--it is rules, discipline, and consequences that save the day, not beautiful theories.
Turning lane on Firetower Rd in Greenville NC at 4:20 takes 4 cycles before actually turning…complete infrastructure failure. Make that 5 cycles due to not running a red.

It’s incredibly refreshing to watch every single player stand for the National Anthem during the World Series, with their hand over their heart in honor & respect for America & the military members who served/are serving & those that paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Take notes @AtlantaDream & @valkyries. This is how it’s done.

We’ve got 11-year-olds getting ranked, 13-year-olds getting recruiting advice, and 15-year-olds being told their athletic window is closing.
Meanwhile, more than half of the adults involved haven’t came close to figuring out their own lives yet.

Pat Kelsey on the witness stand is electric:
"Tell me the rules and I'll follow them! Nobody follows them. You're trying to trick me with a bunch of stuff. END THE CHAOS! END. THE. CHAOS."

Spent the last 15 minutes staring at this hypothetical conference realignment. It’s perfect.
No conference championships — best regular season conference record wins conference. Each conference sends winner to CFP + 6 overall at-large bids (16-team CFP).

I have apparently developed another controversial coaching opinion.
If you join the cross country team, the cross country meets are mandatory.
I know.
Pretty extreme stuff.
And if there is a club soccer game scheduled at the same time, we are still going to expect you to be at the XC meet.
Apparently this requires explanation now.
What surprises me more is the outrage this generates.
"You mean they HAVE to go?"
Yes.
That's how being on a team works.
We practice so we can compete.
The meets aren't optional bonus content you unlock if nothing better shows up on the family calendar.
I didn't realize "athletes are expected to attend competitions" had become one of my hottest coaching takes.
But here we are.
