A simple and excellent local search observation from @GregGifford: "Your website isn't your homepage. Your GBP profile is your homepage. It's the first impression a customer will have of your business." #EngagePDX:

The worst thing about interviewing at places like DoorDash, Starbucks and Google is assuming they looked at your account, and know that you: - order from the same Thai place, constantly - have a secret sweet-cream-cold-brew addition - keep searching "how many quarts in a gallon"

Did you know? This year I've been building websites / web apps increasingly quickly. This includes a site that went live within TWO HOURS of a news story breaking, and gained loads of attention by being the first to capitalize on it. Now I want to do the same for others! 🧵

Hey @BECU - I found an issue on your website that might be OK for right now, but is potentially going to cause you some nasty issues soon. Please could you forward these images to someone in your SEO / marketing team, or put me in touch with them (via [email protected])? Thanks!

I have an odd question, and need some help. I have an old book. It's been pulled form circulation, and is no longer published, because the author's family recognized that it contains hurtful racial depictions. What should I do with it? Here are some thoughts/options... (1/2)

I don't want or need to keep it. Prices for the book have gone up, but selling it is exploiting the situation, and I don't like the idea of whoever is paying a premium for it. I could donate it, but I've no idea to who. I could destroy it. What would you do in this situation?

I was out running errands for a few hours on Sunday with @desiwhalen, and we kept track of how many different state license plates we spotted. The final count was *28 states*.... plus we saw a Guam plate as well! I think that's our personal best, for just one afternoon.

Quick prediction: Everyone is going to get really comfortable liking posts on here. They're going to push the idea that "the more you like, the better your feed is." Until 12 months from now, when Elon announces that 'private likes' will be a subscriber-only feature. (cont...)

At that point, you'll have 30 days to decide whether to start paying for Premium, or to have your entire 'like history' made public on your profile again. Removing likes won't guarantee that they don't continue to show up.
