We are ELATED to see @fcpsnews today as we host our first Equity Symposium in person since 2019. We made it shine online, but the hottest ticket in town returns to @LewisLancers today and we couldn’t be more excited! #FCPSEquityReimagined

We commemorate this Fourth of July in the shadow of assaults on our human rights and bodily autonomy. Let us commit together to the movement for justice and democracy.

At least three Oklahoma districts that serve mostly students of color say they don’t plan on changing the way they talk about racism in the classroom and are willing to face the consequences of a new state law restricting those practices and conversations.

Really connecting with what @teachntransform shared from @LorettaJRoss! Brave spaces allow for you to have free speech but it doesn’t come without consequence! 🔥 #antiracistedu
How can you be an #antiracist #culturallyresponsive #equitable teacher if you start with a fully decorated, restrictive seating classroom with the first quarter’s lessons planned?
From classroom contracts to curricular ideas to decor, engaging students is key to building culturally sustaining learning environments. Consider these questions to assess how student voice and input are integrated into the culture and community.
