Kristen and I were given the opportunity to share some thoughts and ask some questions as we dream about educational spaces that fit all children. When you have a free few minutes take a listen, and hopefully carry on the conversation.

Jesse and I have been on a wold tour visiting some of the most amazing students and building leaders I know. These pictures don’t even capture half of it! Joy. Excitement. Possibility.

Today really is one of my favorite days of the year - Region 3 kickoff. Grateful doesn’t do enough to describe the true privilege it is to work alongside these leaders in support of their amazing communities.

This is the story of 25-year-old Carlethia “Carlee” Nichole Russell who was recently abducted and is currently considered missing in Alabama. Please share and spread awareness.
Carlee stopped her car to help a stranded toddler on the side of the road when it's assumed she was abducted.
I will be adding to the thread with more info.
Today I spent the day with teachers (and all I have to show for it is this slide).
Teachers wrestling with hard questions about how to be better for kids.
There is no place I’d rather be.
It was an amazing day.
Thank you @LortonStationES , @RiversideFCPS, & Clermont

Before the Memphis Police Dept. releases the video of 5 MPD officers murdering #TyreNichols during a routine traffic stop, and that heinous video inevitably goes viral, I want to amplify THIS video of Tyre LIVING his best life. 🛹👑🙏🏿😔✊🏿

“Your grandfather did not immigrate halfway across the world For you to flatten your name to fit better in someone else’s mouth. “
So grateful to be part of an amazing day of learning with educators committed to leading an equitable district. #FCPSequityreimagined
“Get to know the students, not just as students but as people.”
How are we leading to prioritize humans before content?

Allowing our students to lead the way.
Lewis Pyramid put in the work and pried the spirit stick from the grips of the Mount Vernon Pyramid…Region 3 nowhere else I’d rather be!!!

So often our education conversations center around standards and outcomes. Today I spent the morning with some folks from @theWPboard discussing students, belonging and humanizing our work as educators. Humans over content. @FCPSR3 @FCPSEquity
