Congratulations to all gr 5 students @SilverCreekPS on today’s celebration. Moms, dads, siblings- thanks for your help and support this year, @Joanne30249079, @Queenieteach, Ms. Chalha and our custodian Mr. Romanko for their contributions to making today a great sendoff!

A great way to spend a Thursday night in May- bringing together @SilverCreekPS & @valleysvipers schools for an evening of activities, sports and food! Thanks to all staff and our respective parent councils who came together to hit this out of the park!

Staff @SilverCreekPS tonight are thinking of all @SilverCreekPS families waiting to hear from loved ones in Syria and Turkiye after the devastating earthquake.

Today, @SilverCreekPS Eco Club members worked on cardboard ‘paper only’ lids to stop any food waste from going into our recycling bins during lunch and snack. Building awareness through announcements, games and initiatives like this, we hope to make a big difference.

I submit, for your consideration, @SilverCreekPS’s King of Dabke.

Our final Let’s Skate session for @SilverCreekPS grade fives happened this morning, and while they’re sad it’s over, the hot chocolate waiting for them from @alrm2901 made up for the brisk winter walk and had them smiling. Thanks @Joanne30249079 for the assist!

Students in junior grades @SilverCreekPS have been preparing songs & readings for our important #RemembranceDay assembly this morning, our 1st together in many years. Many classes have decorated our gym with beautiful art.

A reminder for @SilverCreekPS families to put their clocks back an hour this weekend.

Very proud of JS who demonstrated initiative & prepared a slideshow explaining her upcoming cultural celebration Diwali to our class. After showing us pics of beautiful decorations & food, I told the class leftovers would always be welcome at school & addressed, say, to me!😜

Students in gr 5 @SilverCreekPS translated “Remember Their Names”, “Every Child Matters” & “I Remember Them” into first languages for our front display case. @Queenieteach @alrm2901 @RobDiPro #truthandreconciliationweek

Many thanks to @Joanne30249079 spearheading the Just 4 U Project at @SilverCreekPS to get brand new toothbrush & toothpaste donations from our community when funding has been cut for this important program to support oral hygiene needs of kids. Many thanks to families who helped.
