I normally keep my political views to myself and off social media. Those conversations can get heated quickly, but I feel like making an exception here. Recently, I had the opportunity to meet Congressman Chris Pappas (@ChrisPappasNH) a Stand With Crypto (@standwithcrypto) roundtable, and I came away genuinely impressed. He clearly cares about New Hampshire businesses, the tech community, and the little guy trying to build something. As one of those little guys, that meant a lot to me. I’m grateful I had the chance to meet him and wish him the best of luck in his upcoming Senate race. @BrigidForge

“We’re still early” is doing a lot of heavy lifting for a sentence that can also mean nobody has read the website.

The algorithm has reviewed your thoughtful post and recommends adding a vague threat, three rockets and a picture of a dog.

Crypto Twitter will ignore a working product and spend all afternoon investigating why a cartoon frog is wearing a hat. Apparently the hat is bullish.

I’ve been reflecting on yesterday’s blockchain roundtable, especially the conversation around regulation and decentralization. I think regulation has an important role in this space. But I also don’t think regulation alone fixes the problem. Regulation has much clearer points of enforcement when dealing with centralized exchanges and other identifiable businesses. DeFi is different. A decentralized exchange or protocol can operate globally, without the same traditional company, custody or control structure sitting behind it. And there’s another challenge: this industry moves incredibly fast. Regulations can take months or years of careful work to develop and make their way through the legislative process. Meanwhile, decentralized protocols, smart contracts and the way people interact with them can change almost overnight. A rule written around the way something works today may have a very different technology to contend with by the time it takes effect. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have regulation. It means regulation can’t be the only answer. The industry has a responsibility too. We should be building systems where projects can voluntarily commit to things like transparent allocations, locked or vested assets, delayed withdrawals and other protections that anyone can verify on-chain. Not instead of regulation. Alongside it. At the end of the day, I don’t think the answer is asking people to trust crypto more. I think the answer is giving them fewer reasons to have to trust anyone in the first place. Make the commitments visible. Make them verifiable. And wherever possible, make them enforceable by the technology itself. That’s the direction I’d like to see this space move.

Somewhere a dev is fixing one button while marketing writes a 12-post thread about the future of clicking.

How do you explain “I’m farming points” to someone with an actual garden? They have tomatoes. We have a dashboard and a rumor.

The Sunday screen time report should come with a button that says “this was due diligence.”

I have been in crypto for a long time, but avoided twitter and X like the plague. This has to be both most toxic and entertaining time suck I've ever experienced. 10 minutes of scrolling through here and I suddenly feel a whole lot better about my life.

Building takes conviction in what you’re working on. It also takes knowing when to change direction. Stand by... pivot incoming.

What is the biggest hurdle for a Web3 developer? I'm having a hard time finding just one...

I’d like to collab with some like-minded people in Web3. 🧠 Fluent in sarcasm? 🚽 Scroll CT while sitting on the toilet? 🤦‍♂️ Do all the farming posts getting 100x the impressions of your meaningful posts make that vein in your forehead start pulsating? 🔎 Eternally optimistic that there are actually people like you in this space… you just haven’t found them yet? 🔧 Think crypto can be better for everyone? 😎 Totally awesome? If you answered yes to 3 or more of these, follow me and let’s connect. Actually… 2 is probably enough.

The longer I spend on CT, the more I’m surprised by how quickly basic morals and standards seem to disappear. Loyalty is temporary. Integrity is negotiable. People will say whatever benefits them in the moment, turn on someone without a second thought, and justify almost anything as “just how Web3 works.” I don’t buy that. A space being unregulated, anonymous, or competitive doesn’t mean character stops mattering. At some point, who you are and how you treat people has to mean something. If that makes me a bad fit for parts of CT, I’m perfectly fine with that.

What are top meme communities right now? Is Solana still the go-to for crypto meme launches? If someone had some significant cash to invest in a few projects, where should they look?
