nine episodes into The Pitt and my main takeaway right now is that anyone who works in a hospital should be paid approximately $400-500 million dollars per day

Please, for the love of all that is professional, can we just TRY for ONCE to avoid getting dog-walked into the most reductive arguments and selfish crusty takes possible??
Terrible for patients. Will definitely impact quality of MDs & care delivery Night call was a core part of med school and residency. You learned how to triage and multitask efficiently on a skeleton crew when rest of hospital wasn’t open. Patients crash and the worst traumas came in overnight!

How can you really say "Miami or bust" and pretend you care about this franchise? Might as well be LMA. 11 years flushed. #Dame #HeatCulture

I truly think it’s easier for white people to fight to uphold the myth of Meritocracy rather than face the deep pain of realizing they have been told a complete lie their whole lives about what the world is really like. It’s cognitive dissonance at it’s finest. #AffirmativeAction #Meritocracy

This #NationalNursesDay, let’s take a moment to thank nurses in WA state and across the country for the difficult, life-saving work they do every day. They are there for people when they need it most, and I’ll always fight in the Senate to make sure that we’re there for them too.

Now the pessimists will say, “it’s all profit driven anyway, at least PE will compete with insurance. It’s the lesser of 2 evils.” We as doctors don’t give ourselves credit for what we can do as business owners and collectively as individuals. We have more power than we realize.
