Someone get me these cuffs STAT. #librarianmemes
This! As usual, @jenniferlagarde nails it. We need to put this in our digital citizenship lessons.
When I speak to kids/adults about online trolls, I don't refer to them as bullies. I refer to them as arsonists. Here's why.
*Note: while you're welcome to use this, please know that it's still a work in progress.

As a school librarian, I am a teacher, AND I have a Master's degree -actually 2.
Our certified librarians have at least two years of mandated classroom teaching, multiple school librarian certification courses, and a master's degree. Now this is what we called highly qualified! #TxASL

When people only listen to one side of a story, it can lead to misinformation. And, we all lose in the end. RRISD does NOT-I repeat-NOT have a list of banned authors. #FReadom #censorship
#LibrariesRRock does not have a list of banned authors. This completely false rumor results in denying our Ss the experiences of hearing from diverse authors who believe it. Unequivocally, RRISD does NOT HAVE A LIST OF BANNED AUTHORS. #censorship #FReadom

Dear @angiecthomas,
I have a new Student. She’s beautiful, lost & seems angry. Struggling here & home seems hard. She’s not “soft”, staff is unsure. But today during our break, I found her hiding the book & reading my Concrete Rose.
Thank you, your book is our way in.❤️

Our diverse student population deserves to read books that can reflect their experiences & give a glimpse into others' lives! I've been sharing this book by @MitaliPerkins with some of our younger students this week. #FReadom @LibrariesRRock @SommerVarljen

Enjoying Facebook live event @thebrownbookshelf @JasonReynolds83 great sentiments—but this stuck with me. “Crawl to judgement. Sprint to understanding.” #BlackLivesMatter
