So @NevilleSouthall has been deservedly trending recently. I'd like to share a short story on how we went out of his way brilliantly to treat a young boy (me) who adored him.

Not coming back on here full time - just a quick check in to see how you're all doing and to persuade you to head over to BlueSky.

And an even better day today. Still sleeping a fair bit but now starting to pester for food, scratching the carpet and his usual game of follow me to the top of the stairs - the only place he’ll accept belly rubs. The linger Ginger bugger is definitely on his way back.
The best news this morning. Hobbes woke up walking much better, going to his food and meowing for attention. Literally, a Lazarus like recovery from his stroke. Vet confided she thought today was the end but said he’s like a different Cat. We’re crying happy tears today.

And a step down from Hobbes today. Only eating liquid food if you bring it to him, worse on his feet and breathing is really shallow. And some distress sounds if you stroke him too hard. Steeling ourselves now for tomorrow.
Blood tests came back with a high white blood cell count and anaemia. Visit again on Friday for a check and a chat about best pathway. Specialist tests ruled out due to his age and stress. Next few days he’s getting spoilt as much as he lets us.

So Vet thinks it’s a stroke. But at least he’s eating again this morning and a little more mobile. Not ashamed to say I had a little blub while he was off having his bloods done. Love the little ginger bugger more than life.

I know copyright is important but the length of these sentences are ridiculous. Just give people the option to watch their team at 3pm on a Saturday. Most would happily pay. And make sure a chunk of the funds actually (for once) go the pyramid and grass roots.
An individual who had been loading illicit streaming services on to so-called “Firesticks” has today been sentenced to three years and four months in prison. ➡️ preml.ge/d9ntqhpi
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Jonathan Edge, a father of two from Liverpool made “at least £15,000”, from programming Firesticks to allow said content to be streamed. The length of the sentence was likely influenced by the fact he was on license for a previous serious offense, and his defiance of warnings liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool…

Little Ginger fella isn’t himself today. Not pestering for food every five minutes and tucked away in the warm corner next to the boiler. Trip to the vet beckons if he’s not back on form tomorrow.

Also people who leave their rubbish on their seats at the Cinema (or anywhere TBF). It takes minimal effort to put it in the bin on your way out. 🤬
Drawing more pictures this week, if there's an irritating bit of human behaviour you'd like me to capture reply to this!

Today at 11am I'm remembering my Grandfather. Cecil Bather. 2932683, 5th Bn. Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders (Liverpool Scottish). Killed in action, Mareth Line, Tunisia, March 23 1943, aged just 24.

Haven’t listened but suspect lots of usage of ‘moments’ ‘smells’ ‘grass’ ‘effort’ .

Would have taken a point beforehand - it’s never bad away result in the Prem - but Dyche will be absolutely delighted. Still clueless on how to attack outside of set pieces, a big hoof, or a defender making a mistake. Still absolutely no ambition outside of 1 point per game.
