In all my years of making art I've never had a scorpion crawl across my canvas before!
Making art out in the forests of Skiathos and the Wild Spirit keeps sending gifts... – at Thessaly, Greece
I left this painting, made in a ritual with the earth & sky, out on the mountain for a few nights, when I went to retrieve it the thunderstorm came.
Using the painting to shelter me I ran down the mountain to take refuge in a goat shed where I could continue working on the piece – at Thessaly, Greece
On the Equinox I made a ritual to build a shrine to celebrate and welcome the new life of Springtime.

5 paintings spanning 15 years of my creative life, composted and collaged together to form the foundation roots of a new painting...
Paintings from the past that were degraded and dismembered now re-membered in new configurations to form the foundation for creative life to re-emerge...

On Fairlight beach last summer I was meditating with the sea and an ocean goddess appeared to me.
This is the painting I made there with detritus from the beach. She is wild and powerful and moves with the waxing/waning moon.
Had so many creative adventures in 2022. My friend asked me how I find them:

The reality to which the artist and the mystic are exposed is, in fact, the same. It is of their own inmost truth brought to consciousness: by the mystic, in direct confrontation, and by the artist, through reflection in the masterworks of his art.~Joseph Campbell
There is a doorway in a South London woodland.
Wait in silence there and new divine beings emerge...
