Teams building on @Somnia_Network can index any contract with HyperIndex and query the data straight from their app.
Our guide in the Somnia docs goes from an empty folder to indexed USDC.e transfers, with no RPC endpoint to set up. Already running a subgraph? It covers moving that across too.
Using a coding agent? The guide includes a prompt that runs every step for you.

Should a DeFi protocol have the ability to freeze or reverse your assets?
After the past few weeks, it's a fair question to ask of any protocol.
For Somnia, two north stars guide everything we build: non-custody and no unilateral control. Not always the easiest choice, but the one that stays true to DeFi.
This week on Build in Public, Somnia's VP of Legal, Elvin Folkebrant Sababi, will break down what it takes to build DeFi that stays true to its purpose, and why legal has a seat at the product table.

REP v3, October is done.
15 Guardians earned rewards this month, 2,991 SOMI in total, sent today. Top 3: @ShinyViq, @Bhupixhot, @vasyl_khlibko. Congrats, and thank you to everyone who showed up for Somnia this month.
A special thank you to @Plzgivemehopium, @vothaithinh102, @0xtranh, @ArunikaLiem, @MogiwaraD, @0x_Empire and @djaikoku. You posted like yourselves: your own trades, your own takes, your own memes. That is exactly what the rebalance was built to reward.
October was the first month under it. Human posting patterns got a boost, bot-like pace and AI-written replies got a reduction, and the board shows the difference. The same rules carry into November.
Everything that changed is on the rules page: mammothtm.github.io/somnia-r…
Thank you all for building this with me.
How do you feel about it? Tell me in the replies. 👇

Too many hacks come down to OpSec. The space needs some kind of certification for it.
Many DEX hacks are the same story. Most perp dexs are not decentralised and have honeypot multisigs.
Proper decentralised venues fixes this. What we are building with @dreamDEXSomnia.
Binance's initial investigation suggests that the security incident may involve a compromised DevOps engineer’s laptop, which allowed an attacker to gain access to a service container and submit unauthorized withdrawal transactions. We have found no evidence of any wallet private key leak. We will share a detailed technical post-mortem once the investigation is complete and the facts are fully verified.
The estimated total impact sits at around $6.3B. We have worked with blockchain partners to freeze affected assets, with ~$3 billion frozen on-chain so far.
Binance will cover all losses from the SAFU fund and the company’s funds. User funds are safe. We will also publish an updated Proof of Reserves once the remediation is complete.
As an immediate precaution, Binance has:
- temporarily suspended deposits and withdrawals while security checks are completed;
- revoked the affected address authorisation;
- engaged law enforcement and blockchain intelligence partners to trace and recover funds.
Our teams are working around the clock to resolve this issue safely and thoroughly. We are working closely with our law enforcement partners to confirm the identity of these criminals and bring them to justice.
Please rely only on official Binance channels for updates. Please feel free to contact Binance Customer Support if you have any further questions.

.@Somnia_Network and @dreamDEXSomnia are so well positioned.
First @ycombinator validating stablecoins, agentic payments and trading infra.
Now more push towards bringing perps to the US. Big ups to @tradexyz and @HyperliquidX!
Must say our GTM timing couldn’t be more perfect.
trade[XYZ] and ICE, owner of the New York Stock Exchange, are joining forces to bring 24/7 perpetual futures on Hyperliquid to the United States.
In just over a year, our markets on Hyperliquid have surpassed $650 billion in volume. They provide continuous price discovery for stocks, indices, and commodities, and have become trusted reference points for retail and institutions alike when traditional markets are closed. Much of the world trades them. Until now, Americans could only watch.
We intend to change that. Subject to CFTC approval, trade[XYZ] and ICE plan to establish a new, dedicated U.S. market, with novel exchange and clearing infrastructure built on Hyperliquid. Planned contracts span equities, indices, commodities, FX, and crypto, with access through participating brokers and platforms. We’ll share more on products, eligibility, and timing as approvals progress.
ICE brings more than 25 years of experience operating regulated markets, clearing, and managing risk. trade[XYZ] brings the product development, market design, and technology behind the most liquid and robust markets on Hyperliquid.
Innovation and the protections of U.S. regulation shouldn’t be a trade-off. Together, we plan to prove it.
ICE is making a strategic investment in trade[XYZ] and joins us in building towards the future of Hyperliquid. A small group of market luminaries is joining as well, beginning with Stan Druckenmiller. For more than four decades, few investors have anticipated the great turns in markets as often as Stan. We’re proud to have him with us for the next one.
We’re building the U.S. market in parallel with our existing HIP-3 markets, which we’ll continue to expand and innovate on. We expect both to flourish. They each have a long road map ahead, from new asset classes to new ways to trade them.
To the Hyperliquid community, whether you were here before us or came because of us, thank you. You took a chance on new markets and you made them matter. You’ll forever be a part of this story.
Anything. Anytime. On ICE[XYZ].

If you missed today’s Builder Session with @0xironyAditya, @emreyeth and @dmitrysssss, here’s what stood out to me about the @dreamDEXSomnia Perps Builder Bounty 👇
Most of my time on dreamDEX lately has been spent trading and completing quests. But this session gave me a better understanding of what developers are working with, where they’re running into problems, and what the team wants to see built next.
There’s a $3,000 pool across two independent tracks, and you don’t need to build an entire app to contribute.
1️⃣ Two ways to take part
The feedback track has a $1,500 cap: $40 for accepted critical or major issues and $15 for other accepted reports.
It covers API and SDK issues, documentation gaps, bugs and missing features. No MVP or X posts are required for this track.
The report needs to explain what happened, what should have happened, and how to reproduce it, with transaction details where relevant. Only the first valid report gets paid. Duplicates and known issues don’t count, and payouts stop once the budget is reached. Security vulnerabilities are handled separately.
The second track offers three $500 MVP prizes, plus a breakdown post on the dreamDEX X account.
You can enter one track or both.
2️⃣ The MVP prize comes in two parts
Each $500 prize is split into $300 at announcement and another $200 once the MVP places orders on mainnet, within 30 days of the perps mainnet launch.
I like this detail. There’s an incentive to keep working on the product after the results are announced.
The team wants a clear use case, evidence of building, and a reason for people to use the product again or share it. Working orders on Tokyo, transaction hashes, a repository or a demo help show the progress.
Builders also need 2–3 accurate X posts explaining what they’re making. Somnia Reactivity and Somnia Agents are encouraged.
3️⃣ Use the right network and keep the funds separate
The bounty runs on Somnia Tokyo testnet, chain ID 50383.
Builders need test USDso for margin and STT for gas. Development funds can be requested from the team through a ticket or support, using a separate build wallet.
If you’re also participating in Perps Arena, pay attention to this: bounty USDso must not be moved into your Arena account. It breaks the rules, and the presentation mentions accounts already being banned for doing it.
4️⃣ What your bot can actually do
Your USDso margin stays in your dreamDEX account. The bot uses a separate key to sign orders and pay gas, with permissions granted per market.
It can place, cancel and reduce orders. It cannot withdraw your funds, change leverage or arm stop orders.
There’s another detail worth knowing: TP/SL managed by the bot depends on the bot staying online. Those stops aren’t armed on the exchange or displayed in the app like app-set TP/SL.
Having a bot connected doesn’t mean every part of managing the position happens automatically. You need to understand which actions the bot handles and what happens if it stops running.
5️⃣ Builders are already finding useful things
According to the presentation, the first 48 hours brought around 75 join requests and more than 20 reports.
One builder had three findings accepted from a single ticket: missing documentation on quantity scaling, gas requirements and an error absent from the published ABIs. Another published a full feedback repository with reproducible tests.
I’m glad these examples were included. They show exactly what a useful contribution looks like and give the next developer a better starting point.
The slides also cover partial fills, different decimals across markets and gas limits that can cause orders to fail. These are practical issues people encounter while trying to get a bot working.
Builder Session tomorrow: your way into the Perps Builder Bounty.

• Somnia Tokyo testnet vs Shannon

DeFi has a stack problem.
Same market data providers. Same oracle rails. Same chain forks. Same latency ceiling.
When you’re using off the shelf tech, you can only innovate within what those pieces support.
This week on Build in Public, Somnia CTO @RJFWhite will break down that gap, and highlight what becomes possible when you own the stack end to end.

Spent today thinking about new assets we could list on @dreamDEXSomnia that don't exist anywhere else.
We have unique setup with our oracle and mm that should let us list novel assets fast.
What would you like to trade that you can't trade on other perp exchanges?

We’ve spent much of 2026 rebuilding Somnia’s foundations.
Now, the focus is shifting towards making what we’ve built accessible, bringing it to market and preparing for what’s next.
For this week’s Building in Public, we sat down with our CEO, @lippylipka, to unpack his three biggest priorities.
Here’s what he shared 🧵

🚨 UPDATE: Somnia hit ~134K sustained peak TPS on Chainspect, over 2x Visa’s ~65K TPS benchmark.
Improbable CEO @HermanNarula took the opportunity to call out Tempo and tag Stripe CEO @patrickc:
“Use us instead.”
Rhizen Crypt retweeted
More throughput than visa and tempo @patrickc use us instead!
⚡ Real-time TPS shows how busy a chain is. Sustained peak TPS shows how much it can handle
Across the top 25 chains, peak throughput varies by up to 455x, and three of them clear Visa's 65,000+ TPS capacity.
See who can handle the most 👇
