I appreciate the rainbow arguments seem silly to anyone on the outside but let me put it this way.
For years, if you saw the rainbow flag up somewhere, queer people knew they would be safe there.
Now? Is it safe? Or does that person support the NHS - and want to send you to it?

I just want to extrapolate from this for a sec. Anti-trans rhetoric in the UK is LOUD, inescapable, and pushed by most of the media. A few Saturday nights ago there was an anti-queer attack on a couple in the city centre. Other queer shops have been attacked. I've had hate mail.
