There’s something about sunshine that makes kitties love to bask in it. This is our new kitten, Millicent Hazel Jones, Milly for short. She’s doing great. Our older cat, Gilly, is wary and acting a bit put out.

Here I am last week at Rabbit Room's Annual Hutchmoot gathering near Nashville, co-presenting with Matt Wheeler our session on "The Ache Beneath the Art." We talked about how vulnerable you make yourself whenever you create and then share your work with others. And habits and practices, spiritual and otherwise, for doing it anyway. This past July I had the fun experience of co-leading a panel for an event co-sponsored by the Rabbit Room and WriterFest Nashville. Our theme: The Story behind the Story. I’m the guy on the left! Co-convener Melissa Collings is on the right. In between are great folks from the world of video/movie production, fiction writing, and music.
