Just reading this great book. The closing sentence in the book was just what I needed to hear: "suddenly a voice roared from the touchline, Ollerton, it's ok to lose, but don't quit! That truth spurred me on." @biblesociety @AndyOllerton @GlosDioc @StroudwaterTeam
This is adjacent to our hotel @beHOTEL_Malta where we stayed in Malta. Every time we walked past I wanted to burst into song. But do you know what song though? It was a great stay and I loved the Island.

You go to work for 40 years (I'm currently at 42).
Youโre forced into autoโenrolment. You play by the rules, you save into a pension on the promise itโs yours.
Then Labour strolls in, waves through a law that lets ministers tell your scheme where to gamble those savings โ not for your benefit, but to prop up their economic โstrategyโ and vanity infrastructure schemes that the market wonโt fund.
This isnโt prudence. It isnโt โmodernisationโ. It is a straightforward transfer of control from the saver to the state.
Hands off our pensions. Share this before they pretend nobody noticed.

Last night my 12 year old granddaughter performed for the first time since her epilepsy diagnosis. Performing with her friend Delia at a local church, entertaining people from nursing homes with dementia. This is their performance of โwhat is this feelingโ from the musical WICKED.
Please like and share ๐๐

I once gave up chocolate for Lentโฆ
and yes, it was a challenge ๐ซ๐
But Lent isnโt really about the chocolate.
Itโs about refocusing our hearts.
Making space.
Preparing for Easter.
As Lent begins today, ask yourself:
what will I do this season to make space for Jesus?

Today is Ash Wednesday, which marks the beginning of the season of Lent. โ๏ธ
At church services today, people will have a cross of ash marked on their foreheads, to symbolise mortality and repentance.
Find a local service at AChurchNearYou.com/lentandeaโฆ.
Praying that my sisters and brothers in Christ have a truly Holy and blessed Ash Wednesday and Lent ๐โ๏ธ

As an atheist, I thought the Bible was just mythologyโfairy tales
But when I earnestly examined the archaeological evidence, I found the exact opposite was true
Here are ๐๐ discoveries that confirm the Bibleโs historical accuracy๐งต

It blows me away that Isaiah 53 is so clearly about Jesus that when you read it to people, without telling them that it was written hundreds of years before the New Testament, they tend to just assume that it was written after the fact.
Mind blowing.
โHe was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turnedโevery oneโto his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth. By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and as for his generation, who considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living, stricken for the transgression of my people? And they made his grave with the wicked and with a rich man in his death, although he had done no violence, and there was no deceit in his mouth. Yet it was the will of the Lord to crush him; he has put him to grief; when his soul makes an offering for guilt, he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days; the will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied; by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant, make many to be accounted righteous, and he shall bear their iniquities.โ
