What could happen if you put a Gospel made for your town into the hands of your neighbours? 👀
Rachel caught up with Yan to hear what’s been happening with the Harpenden Bespoke Gospel — created with local photos and shared by churches working together across the town.
As teams have knocked on doors, they’ve found around one in three people they meet are open to receiving a Gospel and prayer. 🙏
It’s an encouraging echo of what we’re seeing in the Talking Jesus research: there is real openness to conversations about Jesus.
And Harpenden isn’t the only place doing this. Your town, city or community could have its own bespoke Gospel too.

What could happen if churches across your town came together to share the good news of Jesus? 👀
A little Latergram from Bromley, where **55 local churches** have joined forces to bring the Gospel to their community.
Together, they’ve created a bespoke Gospel featuring photographs of familiar places across Bromley, making it a resource that feels truly local.
And this is just the beginning.
Imagine the stories these churches could be sharing a year from now. Conversations on doorsteps, encounters on high streets, and people discovering Jesus through their local food banks and toddler groups.
We’re seeing a real openness to faith across the UK, and we’d love to help more churches make the most of this opportunity.

Back to Wales 🏴❤️
Rachel is on the road again – this time heading to join the brilliant women at New Wine Cymru Women’s Leaders.
And this trip has a special family connection. Rachel’s grandmother and great-grandmother were Welsh, and her great-grandparents were deeply impacted by the Welsh Revival.
Her great-grandmother went on to become a preacher herself – quite literally preaching to the very end (you’ll have to watch to find out just how literally! 😅).
So there’s something rather special about returning to Wales generations later to encourage and equip women leading in the Church today.
Have a brilliant time together, New Wine Cymru 🧡

How do we help someone move from being spiritually curious to following Jesus?
With so many people across the UK open to exploring faith, that question feels increasingly important.
Tomorrow, we’re joining with the @EAUKnews for our next Perspective Conversation, exploring the journey from evangelism to discipleship – not as two separate things, but as one continuing journey of meeting Jesus and following him.
Join us as Joe Wharton and Katherine Brown help us explore what this looks like in practice, and how churches can respond well to those who are spiritually curious.

Some things are worth getting up early for… ☀️
A year ago, the vision for a Gospel created especially for Bromley was being talked about.
Today, it’s being launched. 🙌
More than 55 churches across Bromley Borough have come together around a shared vision to help local people discover Jesus – with local photography throughout making this Gospel unmistakably Bromley.
We loved joining Transform Bromley Borough at their Prayer Breakfast this morning to celebrate how far that vision has come.
Created in partnership with Biblica and Hope Together, we can’t wait to see these Gospels making their way into communities across the borough. ❤️
Here’s to what can happen when local churches work together.

He was executed for translating the New Testament into English.
On 6 October 1536, William Tyndale was strangled and his body burned at the stake near Brussels.
His crime? Helping ordinary people read the Bible in their own language.
Tyndale had spent years translating the Scriptures into English, working in exile and smuggling copies back into England. His work would go on to have an extraordinary influence on the English Bible.
His final prayer is traditionally recorded as:
“Lord, open the King of England’s eyes.”
And then comes the remarkable part.
Within just a few years, English Bibles were being placed in churches across the country — with much of Tyndale’s translation living on in their pages.
Nearly 500 years later, many of the English words and phrases shaped by Tyndale are still familiar to us.
Today, we can pick up a Bible without thinking twice about what it cost for generations before us to make that possible.
So perhaps 6 October is a good day to actually open one.
A daring life. A daring prayer. And a book still being read nearly five centuries later.

A little latergram from Wolverhampton… 💛
Rachel recently spent the day with churches and leaders in Lichfield Diocese, talking about what we’re seeing across the country: people are curious, asking questions and wanting to know more about Jesus.
And while she was speaking, something happened that brought the conversation to life.
A family spotted the church tower and decided to come inside. They were given a warm welcome (and some much-needed food!), before Amy had the opportunity to pray with them, share something of the hope of Jesus and invite them back.
We love Amy’s reflection on what happened:
“It feels like a picture of what God is doing. He’s drawing people into his church — hungry, curious and wanting to know more.”
An encouragement to churches everywhere: keep going. Keep your doors open. Keep making space for the curious. You never know who might walk in.

Running Alpha or Christianity Explored this term? 👋
If you’ve got people coming along who are exploring Jesus and the Christian faith, why not give them something they can take home and explore for themselves?
Our *Ancient Wisdom for New Life* New Testaments include the Gospels, the story of the early church and the rest of the New Testament — plus QR codes linking to helpful BibleProject videos.
We’ve heard from churches giving a copy to everyone who comes along to their Alpha course. 📖
A simple way to help people keep exploring beyond the session.

What if your Gospel looked like the place you live? 👀
In Bromley, 55 local churches have come together to create a bespoke Gospel of Mark for their community — featuring photographs contributed by local photographers of places people know and recognise.
It’s a brilliant example of what can happen when churches across an area work together to share Jesus in a way that feels truly local.
And this isn’t just something for big city-wide campaigns.
Your town, borough or local area could do the same.
Could yours be next? 👀

What’s the most generous gift you could share? 💛
When something is good, we naturally want to tell someone about it. Sharing Jesus doesn’t have to be complicated — sometimes it starts with a conversation, an offer to pray, or simply sharing a Gospel.
In her latest blog for Stewardship, Dr Rachel Jordan-Wolf explores what generosity has to do with sharing the Good News, and why the simplest acts can make a difference.
