🚨As I reported previously (xitter.cf/GordianKnotRay/status/…), 🇵🇭#Philippine Coast Guard ship BRP Teresa Magbanua was in the Scarborough Shoal area Friday, when both it & 🇨🇳#China Coast Guard 3105 went AIS-dark. Neither has been detectable since, but now the CCG reports it "drove away" a PCG ship on Monday.
The most likely explanation is that the BRP Teresa Magbanua conducted a 3-day presence patrol in the vicinity of Scarborough Shoal over the weekend and has since departed.
The CCG language that it "drove away" a PCG ship is typical PRC bluster used anytime a rival vessel leaves an area where they don't want it to be.
