I think the reason Cedar Fair was held in any estime was because Six Flags existed separately to hold themselves above. That is no longer possible after the merger, and people are realizing Cedar Fair sucks as much as Six Flags ever did.
This kind of timeline is what really hurt Six Flags America’s reputation. Unless there is a massive advertising campaign to sway the narrative, the park will continue to suffer declining attendance and declining perceptions of safety.

I don’t care if Thoosies get mad at me from now on. Cause in retrospect we as a community are so awful for wanting airtime when we risk the chances of an event like this. So from now on I DO NOT CARE I will be putting your restraint down to where it properly should be!
It’s worth point out, one of the deaths at Six Flags America was the result of a woman giving birth in the waterpark bathroom, and then smothering the child and leaving its body in a trash can…
Approximately 101 deaths at parks that were or are managed by Six Flags Entertainment Corporation (including former Cedar Fair parks after the 2024 merger), according to a detailed 2026 compilation by The Doan Law Firm.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The compilation by The Doan Law Firm includes all deaths at these parks over decades from any cause (e.g. shootings, drownings, heart attacks, parking lot incidents) plus some pre-ownership or merged Cedar Fair cases, not only ride fatalities.

It’s a depressing time to be an amusement park fan, man. I’ll jump to no conclusion nor speculate nor catastrophize nor point blame. It’s just sad for everyone involved.

Statement from the park:
Absolutely devastating. One person has died at the park.
Thinking of the family, the ride ops and the whole park team.

Sad news from Six Flags Over Georgia today. Not sure what happened but it does appear that one person has sadly passed away.
I'm not seeing anything regarding it being an accident, perhaps a medical emergency?
The only pics are from the lift hill.

After years of searching, I finally found where I misplaced my map for The Wildlife Preserve, aka Six Flags America!

Theme park fans, I have a second of these plaques made from the Wild One coaster. If I considered putting up for auction on eBay, would anyone be interested?
Thank you @SixFlagsDC for this absolutely wonderful gift. It’s breathtaking to own a piece of The Wild One!
