Hey @ThatKevinSmith @BrianCOHalloran and @Jason_Mewes when Clerks came out on VHS my boss told me I had to watch it and invited me over. Our wives took off for a few hours, leaving my Boss, his 5-year-old, and me to watch Clerks. I asked my boss if his son should not be in the room listening to Clerks. He brushed my concern off because the kid never seemed to listen. Right before our wives got home his son went to play in his room. The ladies asked if his son was in the other room the whole time….my boss lied.
Fast forward to later that evening. We all went out to dinner and afterwards my wife, boss, and I went to see Waterworld, and his wife and son went to see Dumbo Drop. When we were all in the car Carrie asked my boss’ son if he liked the movie. His response was:
“Sush….cant talk in the movie fu*k, fu*k, NOOCH”
My boss’ wife asked if her son said what she heard him say.
My boss sank into the drivers seat in fear. We affirmed what was said.
To my wife I said “As soon as we get back to their house we’re leaving as this WON’T be pretty”.
Not sure what happened to my boss, but it is a safe assumption that he was in a world of hurt for a while.
And that is how Clerks taught a 5-year-old to swear.

Start by fully funding all maintenance departments would be an easy start. Then work on improving operations and the culture at all of the parks.

When the merger happened my friends at SF were shocked to find out that Cedar Fair’s financial reporting was all in spreadsheets instead of using software. Waiting for someone to fill out a spreadsheet is no way to manage a massive corporation.
Cedar Fair ran ALL of their financials on shared spreadsheets. No enterprise management system. That is so 1990’s.

From what I’ve heard and seen Cedar Fair was quite a bit worse than Six Flags…they just had better PR.
