This great carbon removal for beginners podcast from @RestoredCC is worth a listen - clear, hopeful and with a strong line in puns. “Last decade we weren’t ready, next decade will be too late”. Thanks @olaoguntoye for the stellar recommendation restored.cc/ 🌳 🤖

@klaus_lackner’s early DAC prototype (2017). Nothing says prototype like a big red “EMERGENCY STOP” button on the front 😅
Awesome to see this and other carbon removal memorabilia at the @sciencemuseum exhibition yday. Looking forward to featuring in season 2 of @RestoredCC !

Very honoured to talk on this.
And although I did go off on one about forest fires and irresponsible planting of eucalyptus/pine/trees-which-use-fire-to-destroy-other-trees, I am still very much in favour of so many great tree -planting programmes

We spoke to @TheTreeCouncil's @rix_harriet, who reminded us how fragile ecosystems can be, and just how much damage thoughtless tree planting can be for the environment (4/11)

A challenge w the podcast medium is that you can't show an image or a video, you have to describe. Certainly found this the case w The Carbon Removal Show @RestoredCC when describing CDR methods. Well @snma_snma has nailed the visuals for CDR methods with this 20 minute vid!
I've never been one for the camera, but it kept bugging me that the #carbonremoval video I wished existed... didn't.
So I made it.

Nice episode to hear more about on how to scale up carbon removal! @extempo @bspellacy
🎧 EPISODE 7
So we've worked out how to remove carbon at a rate of thousands of tons per year. But we need to scale that up to BILLIONS of tons per year.
There's got a long way to go, so we asked @extempo, @PSilvaSust & @bspellacy how we get there ⬇️
