I've been a Twitter voyeur for the past few years and have decided to try and become more "active" (not the best metaphor, I know)
Below is a running commentary of how I'm going about it. Any tips/ advice are welcome!
Potty Training GPT
Asking ChatGPT "What would Dr Becky suggest..." based on an uploaded @GoodInside PDF of potty training advice has been immensely helpful this weekend
@jodie_cook - are there many Coachvox parenting coaches?!
Just found out that the guy at my co-working space who has been looking at me weird when I nod hello to him recently is actually his identical twin (who apparently also works here too)
There's something really endearing about hiring recent graduates.
Just read one CV where a key achievement was
"Played on school's football first XI - scored on debut"

I can't actually figure out if this a parody or not?
Proud to finally announce our work for @CocaCola, in collaboration with @MrCraigWard, to re-imagine their iconic logo for the next 131 years. Coming soon to a can near you. #branding #typography

Would you feel comfortable asking them to help you move house?
This is an awesome story.
Discovering makingitanywhere.com/ nearly 10 years ago was the catalyst for me to start "shaking things up" - thank you @robdix for continuing to share your ideas/ experience!

I'd never been able to get a gym routine to stick
But 6 months ago that changed when I had a conversation with @robdix
His system is super easy to follow - I now go 3 times/ week without thinking, and get all the benefits from regular exercise
Here's an overview:
I also don't turn on the internet on my phone until I've finished the workout
If I do, I invariably see an email/ Slack message and start thinking about, lose focus on the workout and end up faffing about
I open the starred Whatsapp message (in offline mode) and follow along
And that's basically it!
To recap
- An easy, well-designed routine to follow that you don't need to think about
- Gym visits blocked in the calendar when you can prioritise it
- Mental headspace (i.e. haven't checked emails)
Thanks to @robdix (and his PT!) for developing this!
Really agree with this.
I'm sure the day will come when it is 100% autonomous, but in the meantime a lot of AI content generation feels like a neat demonstration of what technology can do vs something that people with high standards would actually use.
Has anyone done a good comparison of the current hype/ doomsayer-ing of AI and other recent technology (e.g. when the internet became mainstream)?
@matthewclifford - something you might know? Seems like a prime TiB topic/ essay you'd cover!
