BREAKING: Replit by @Replit ranks at #2 on Slides Arena with an Elo of 1279!
It is the highest-rated slides builder under 8 minutes and generates decks ~24% faster than #1, establishing a new Pareto frontier for Speed vs. Preference. Replit places ahead of Gamma 5 by @GammaApp, Manus 1.6 by @ManusAI, and Claude Opus 4.6 by @Anthropic, trailing only Playyy.
Congrats to the @Replit team!

Talking to Amjad yesterday, I realized Replit is more important than I'd previously thought. It's the way AI pervades organizations. Organizations can become somewhat aligned with AI by using AI-powered apps, but the deepest change takes the form of code.
.@OpenRouter co-founder Alex Atallah, in his first podcast since Stripe acquired the company, joins @Replit co-founder Amjad Masad and a16z's Erik Torenberg on why the future of AI is independence and specialization.
In this conversation, Alex walks through how the Stripe deal unfolded, why he wasn't originally looking to sell, and why "payments and inference are going to blend together."
Pre-OpenRouter, the typical AI workflow had one model provider to choose from, and little pressure on that provider to lower prices. Now enterprises are diversifying across labs and open-weight models, and every board is asking about AI costs and benchmarks.
Amjad argues if your company depends on one AI lab, it can turn into your competitor. So Replit is building the layer that lets enterprises use any model and any cloud, without being locked into either.
Alex and Amjad are split on personal agents – Amjad runs one agent across his whole company and loves the cross-domain joins, while Alex says general agents cause you to sacrifice understanding, and argues 10 specialized chiefs of staff beats one superagent.

.@amasad and @DavidSacks just walked through the real AI startup map: open vs closed models, security at every level, and why enterprises are rapidly putting agents to work.
Not every old rule died. B2B is still not B2C. And the “jobs apocalypse” story is louder than the evidence cause builders will build.
#unprompted2026 @Replit
Most good ideas die in a brief, a backlog, or a browser tab.
On Saturday, 150+ people showed up at Razorpay HQ to change exactly that. We hosted Sprint Saturday in partnership with @Replit, a buildathon that brought together 150+ marketers, founders, PMs, sales and ops folks. The people who usually brief someone else to build it. And the response was incredible!
150+ attendees. 90+ teams. 6 on stage. 3 winners. Zero lines of code written by hand.
Each of the attendees walked in with an idea and walked out with something live: reconciliation agents, feedback dashboards, credit scoring tools, content engines, and a few things we genuinely didn't see coming.
Big thank you to @Replit, to our mentors and judges, and to everyone who showed up and shipped.

The Replit-Databricks integration is now generally available, with new native Lakebase support!
Now, you can use @Replit to build full-stack Databricks Apps on live, governed enterprise data. Replit Agent can automatically provision a Lakebase database, while AI-proposed schema changes require human approval.
Build, deploy, and iterate in one flow.

Free Mode on Replit is way more than a business strategy.
It’s a career dream I’ve been chasing for years, finally realized.
Here’s how I got here:

There’s something addictive about turning “I wish this existed” into “I built it.”
You don’t have to wait for the perfect plan… Or the perfect team… Or permission.
You can have an idea in the morning, build and share the first version by afternoon, and have user feedback incorporated the next day.
That’s probably my favorite part of this AI tech shift.
More building. Less waiting. Faster scaling.
And yes, @Replit is my favorite place to do exactly that.
day 1 of recreating iconic tech from my childhood :)
I rebuilt Cher’s iconic closet as a full-stack app in @Replit 💛
the frontend uses React + TypeScript, with an Express backend. I used Replit’s Clerk integration for authentication and Gemini 3.7 Flash Image through Replit’s AI integration.
when you click the ‘dress me’ button, the backend sends your full-body photo, selected top, and bottom to Gemini. the generated outfit is saved and cached, so using the same combination again loads instantly instead of calling the model twice.
stay tuned for day 2 :)

"If everyone can build, it's your unique expertise, judgement, distribution, and more that people will pay for."
Here’s my new episode with @amoljain_, @Replit's head of product engineering, about what it takes to turn a vibe-coded product into a real business. Amol shared:
→ 3 examples of apps built by non-coders that reached six figures
→ 4 steps to take an AI-built app from prototype to production (security!)
→ How to find your competitive advantage when code is free
Some quotes from Amol:
“He built the whole thing end to end in three days. Within the first two months, he was already at $180K+ in revenue.”
“At Replit, this internal tool saves us six figures in SaaS costs. More importantly, anytime we want to add a feature, we just do it. We’re not at the mercy of someone else’s roadmap.”
“The businesses that survive go beyond code to offer expertise, trust, infrastructure, networks, systems of record, data, physical goods, or services.”

this is how I’m making the most of Free Mode on @Replit 👀
1. pressure-test an idea
before building, I ask Free Mode to find the smallest useful version:
“I want to build an app that suggests meals using ingredients people already have. Ask me what I haven’t considered, then define a version I could build this week.”
2. design the first pass
instead of trying to perfect everything immediately, I make a quick design prototype:
“Design a simple home screen where users can enter their ingredients and get three meal ideas. Keep it clean, friendly, and easy to understand.”
3. improve through iteration
once something exists, I use follow-ups to make one focused improvement at a time:
“Users weren’t sure how to enter multiple ingredients. Clarify the input, then suggest the next improvement.”
how are you using Free Mode? 👀

made a website on Replit in 24 hours just by typing "do this, do that, change this, ok make it look like XYZ, add this, remove that"
that looks so good design-wise it would have cost at least 5-10k and taken weeks of back and forth with a dev
genuinely love replit so much
the team shipped some good stuff this week 🛴
my favourite part: you can create, inspect, update, and publish @Replit projects from ChatGPT, Claude, Slack, or another MCP client.
also new:
- Choose a workspace region in North America, Europe, or Asia
- Move eligible apps from Replit Auth to Clerk Auth
- Share workspace skills across your team
- See inline charts in conversations

I know so many first-time entrepreneurs building on Replit who simply don’t have the funds to spend heavily on usage, but are working on great projects.
I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to spend thousands of dollars a month.
The difference that creates has been pretty palpable.
Free Mode is going to help even the playing field. It will allow these young and aspiring entrepreneurs I know to move so much faster, experiment more, and give their ideas a real shot.
And nota bene: a lot of these projects are genuinely worth pursuing, IMO.
