Horse racing is a significant, multimillion-dollar industry here in Pennsylvania. In order to improve accountability of the racing industry, we must modernize fingerprinting and background check requirements to maintain the integrity of the sport.
Horse racing is a multi-million-dollar industry here in PA and we must improve accountability within it. I'm proud that my bill to modernize fingerprinting and background check requirements for horse racing in PA to meet FBI requirements has passed the PA House.

I’m proud to announce over $1,000,000 will be coming to Northeast Philadelphia!! This money will be for investments in People Acting to Help (PATH) and Jeanes Hospital!
Both PATH and Jeanes help Northeast Philadelphians daily. This funding will allow both entities to continue their crucial work for our neighborhood. I am beyond proud to have secured funding for these two projects that will greatly benefit our community.

Today, I had the opportunity to thank and talk with our Governor @GovernorShapiro about the cost of living adjustments (COLA) that he signed into law for our retired police officers, fire fighters, and teachers.
We discussed how crucial this legislation is for not only our Commonwealth, but Northeast Philadelphia. I cannot thank the Governor enough for his leadership and getting this budget across the finish line.
It wasn’t easy, but we now have #PABudget! Thank you to all my colleagues & especially our staff for working hard to bring a cost-of-living increase to our retired police officers, firefighters, and teachers, increase education funding & give working families the help they need.

The heartbreaking loss of UPenn student, Sarah Katz, in 2022, should be a wake-up call. Highly caffeinated drinks, without notice, can be dangerous. My bill is simply calling for restaurants to label their menus and inform individuals on which drinks are high in caffeine.
