I spoke against H. 4763, the “HALO Act,” which would put citizens in jail if they exercise their 1st Amendment rights. This bill is unnecessary and unconstitutional. The 25 feet standard is arbitrary and it will lead to innocent people getting arrested.

As South Carolina honored Rev. Jesse Jackson, people waited in line for up to an hour and a half to pay their respects. It was important to Megan and me that Teagan be here, so that one day he can look back and remember the life and legacy of a true American hero.

The University of South Carolina continues to define excellence in academics, athletics, and all that it means to be the flagship institution of this state. Go Gamecocks!

I spoke against a bill that would have banned hemp products, like drinks and gummies, in South Carolina. Why should government infringe on your rights and eliminate local jobs without a compelling reason to do so?
