.@CoachForGov and Alabama House Speaker @RepLedbetter announced support on Thursday for closing Alabama’s primary elections to only registered members of each party.
Alabama does not currently have party registration. Instead, voters choose a party ballot at the polls. State law also bars voters from switching parties between a primary and that cycle’s runoff.
“There’s a lot of talk about this,” Tuberville said. “I’ve spoken with Speaker Ledbetter and we agree that we have to do something about Democrats voting in our elections. They shouldn’t be doing it. I know he’s moving a bill forward very very soon as we speak, and if we can get that done, I think it’s gonna help the cause of the conservative Republicans in the State of Alabama.”
According to Speaker Ledbetter, lawmakers are in the process of reviewing proposals, “and are eager to get the ball rolling.”

I’m excited to be in Alabama next week for a fundraiser for my dad, but whenever I ask anyone from there what's going on in the state this is all they talk about. Why's their senate refusing to let the people vote on a clean bill to legalize the lottery & fund education when 45 states already do it? Wouldn't they rather keep the billions of $$$ in Alabama instead of sending it to other states? Makes no sense to me!

The UAW is NOT the good guy here. Thank you, Mr. Speaker, for calling out the UAW for what it is — corrupt, shifty and a dangerous leech.
Speaker of the House @RepLedbetter: ”When the UAW shows up at production facilities to give its sales pitch, I’m sure this part is left out: Multiple generations of UAW leaders have a proven history of stealing from members.” #alpolitics

We were humbled by their support & love of H3H along w/ our Mental Health Series program, which came to AL through their legislative leaders, led by Speaker of the House Nathaniel Ledbetter, Senator Garlan Gudger & Education & Ways & Means Committee Chair, Representative Danny Garrett.
We were very honored to share our Tyler Talk w/ such lovely people during their Reflection Conference. Yet, never could we have imagined how amazing this selfless group of men & women are working tirelessly for our kids.
We left these two powerful days uplifted & energized by their advocacy, endorsement & hope. See you next week in Cullman & Montgomery!❤️❤️❤️ #hope #MentalHealth #MentalHealthMatters – at Gulf Shores, AL
