Thank you @RepGiral for voting “yes” on a PA budget that takes another step toward adequately funding our public schools, so that all students, no matter their zip code, have access to the resources they need to thrive.

I’m thrilled that this year’s state budget includes long-awaited pension increases for thousands of retired municipal police officers, firefighters, public school employees and state workers who dedicated their careers to serving the commonwealth.

Last week, @PAAgriculture Sec. Russell Redding visited my district to tour the Tusculum Gateway Garden as part of his 2026 Urban Tour around Pennsylvania. I’m very grateful that he made time to stop by and visit.

The garden is operated by the New Kensington Community Development Corporation (NKCDC), with Executive Director, Dr. Bill McKinney, overseeing programs. It's a tremendous resource for our neighborhood, & I was happy to have my colleagues, @RepPashinski & @RepHanbidge join us

Non-compete agreements trap media workers, suppress wages, and make it harder for local newsrooms to retain experienced reporters. Today, my bill with @RepGiral to end non-competes for broadcast workers passed the #PAHouse. Ending these agreements will strengthen our local press by giving journalists the freedom to build their careers while continuing to serve their communities.

The broadcast news industry has extremely aggressive non-compete agreements. On Tuesday, my bill with @RepGiral to eliminate this language from broadcast worker contracts passed out of the Labor & Industry Committee and will now move to the #PAHouse for consideration. Broadcast workers deserve more freedom and flexibility in finding work and keeping the public informed. palegis.us/house/co-sponsors…

Lead poisoning remains one of the most preventable threats to children’s health. House Bill 916 strengthens early screening so families can detect exposure sooner and access the support they need. It’s a vital step toward giving every child a healthy start in life. @RepGiral

Just like the public deserves quality journalists, we also deserve access to quality broadcasters.@RepGiral and I have introduced a bill to prohibit non-compete agreements for broadcast workers to make sure they're not restricted from finding new employment opportunities. To our #PAHouse colleagues, we hope you consider signing on to co-sponsor this legislation. palegis.us/house/co-sponsors…
