No Time for a Pause - that’s why House Dems are making sure menopause and perimenopause symptoms aren’t stopping women from living and working here in PA.
Legislation introduced by @RepCephas just passed the House 125-78! This bill requires employers to provide reasonable workplace accommodations to their employees who are pregnant, give birth, or are experiencing menopause.

Fantastic news!!! The Supreme Court declined to hear the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s appeal of a ruling requiring the company to pay back its workers for the cuts to pay, illegally implemented increases in health care costs & more. When we fight, we win!!! ✊✊✊
Breaking: Post-Gazette union-busters have hit a dead end at Supreme Court and must pay back millions to @newsguild-CWA journalists.

This week, the committee held a voting meeting and favorably reported @RepCephas' bill that requires employers to provide reasonable accommodations to their employees who are pregnant, give birth, or go through menopause.
Next year, New Jersey's minimum wage will be $16.48/hour, while Pennsylvania's will remain at $7.25 for the 17th year in a row -- thanks to Senate Republican inaction. The House has voted to raise PA's wage to $15/hour three times since 2023, and Senate Rs have failed to act.
NJ’s #minimumwage is going up! Starting Jan 1, 2027 most employees will earn $16.48/hour and for the first time, farm workers will reach $15/hour. Read more in our latest press release: nj.gov/labor/lwdhome/press/2…

Happy National States and Capitals Day, a day to celebrate all 50 state capitals. We may be a little bias, but working in Harrisburg seeing this beauty everyday makes it a little more special! Some favorite images of our Capitol building in the Capital city of Harrisburg!

The House passed this bill with broad bipartisan support 124-79 on May 5, 2025, but it has languished in a Senate committee since then. Meanwhile, healthcare workers across PA face violent situations every day. How long should they have to wait for these commonsense protections?
Healthcare workers deserve a safe place to give our patients the quality care they deserve. Go to endhealthcareviolence.com to tell your Senator to pass HB926 (the Healthcare Workplace Violence Prevention Act)

Deal. Once you all pledge to pay yourselves no more than $7.25 an hour.
Pennsylvania can respond to legitimate concerns about data center development without turning its back on the digital economy.
Disagree? We invite you to take the No Technology Pledge.
If you don’t want data centers, stop using what they power.

Tens of thousands of Rideshare drivers across MA, represented by the App Drivers Union began their negotiations with Uber and Lyft yesterday.
These drivers will be the first in the country to sit at the bargaining table with Uber and Lyft and finally make their voices heard.
Mount Nittany Medical Center spent over $6.4 MILLION to undermine @seiuhcpa healthcare workers during their five-day strike for better wages to help with recruitment and retention. Ironically, the total spent on temporary, out-of-state workers was at least FIVE TIMES what those union workers usually make. It’s yet another example: #GreedyCEOs have the money to pay us what we’re worth but would rather fight us tooth and nail to keep all the power. #CareIsEssential

What would another $7,770 mean to you every year? What about better health care? Stronger job and retirement security?
That’s what the median worker would get if union density tripled in America. Unions have the power to transform the lives of working people.
