Our beloved long hall has been broken into and vandalised. Please consider donating if you are able. We are hoping to build a taller fence to protect the site we've spend decades building.
Thank you.

Thank you @RegiaAnglorum for coming in to teach our cast about Old English life to help the immersive medieval world of #BringBackChainmail feel all the more real!
We don't think Sir James (@Tommytuckaa) has ever had so much fun ⚔️
A beautiful find!
Who loves to doodle? ✏️
Beautiful Trewhiddle beasts are engraved on this Anglian bone trial piece from #York Railway Station (5th - 9th Century). Artists practiced intricate designs on animal bone scraps like these before committing it to metal!
What can you make out?
Regia has always been at the forefront of authenticity in Viking Age reenactment, keen to put accuracy at the heart of our portrayals.
Here is an excellent example of Pictish kit, carefully recreated based on archaeological evidence and stone carvings.

And because we really do miss it ... a photo from the battle at Jorvik Viking Festival! Taken by @mikesouthphotos
This is a fully competitive battle between warriors from many different societies, where the tide of battle turns on skill with spear and tactic.

With great regret, we must announce that this year’s Viking Festival will be postponed until 25-26 June 2022. Tickets for this year will roll over to next year. Full details vikingfestival.org.uk
February would normally see Regia preparing for the Jorvik Viking Festival and a busy season ahead. Sadly it will be a while longer until we can see you all at events again.
Until then, here is an unpublished photo by @mikesouthphotos from a wonderful Detling 2017 show.
We are certainly looking forward to this! 💪🏻

Hoards range from coins to great caches of wealth. They were often buried in the hopes that they would be reclaimed, but fortunately for both historians and re-enactors, they never were.
Our members have curated their own personal hoards!
See which replicas you can spot.
What a find!
Nice find and important to record! Middle Anglo-Saxon brooch, recorded TODAY @britishmuseum @findsorguk ❤️
Apologies for our earlier fluff-up!

#OnThisDay 939 Æthelstan, king of the English, died. This picture of him presenting a book to St Cuthbert is the earliest illustration of an English monarch.
An amazing achievement! Lewis Kirkbride completed a 20 day walk from York to Hastings to fundraise in support of men's mental health.

If you see a "knight" walking between #TunbridgeWells and #Battle today - give him a wave!
