Big thanks to Karen on tills at @Tesco @tesconews who noticed my mum struggling to stand with her newly replaced knee and ran to get her a chair. This kind of care really helps and her quick thinking may have prevented a nasty fall.

Bit of a longshot, but anyone know of UK *seax* graves or hoards with radiocarbon data? / Access to any? #archaeology I’ve got Buttermarket, Butlers Field Lechlade, Mill Hill, Ford, Castledyke & St Peter’s Tip Broadstairs, but I need more…

I feel like we’re overdue an Adam Curtis documentary to unpack what’s gone down this year. With found footage he’d explain how it all stems back to some people, somewhere in 1959. Who thought they’d developed the perfect system. But then, something happened they didn’t expect…

Polite notice. Putting “1:2” on a drawing which could, in the future, be distributed digitally or printed at any size, does not constitute a scale.

Sometimes when I’m not making shiny things with metal, I make shiny things with data. It’s less sparkly but I’m hugely proud of having managed to write the R-code to do these bubble-maps this week… #R #archaeology #data

As soon as they start actually governing, Trump and Musk are going to fall out spectacularly. There can only be one president of the universe…

Yet to see any commentary addressing the very real prospect that Trump will vindictively crush the already fragile UK economy like an egg, forcing a change of government (like the Truss meltdown) to one more of his liking.

Took a break for the sake of my sanity, but I’ve been catching up on the political situation in the USA tonight & my take is that Mr Nixon is no Eisenhower; might be time for a change and if they do elect that young Mr Kennedy instead I’m sure nothing bad will happen.
