I have been saying this for years. We are spoilt by high end computers. Once you dev on a potato you find solutions to problems you did even not know existed.
As a non-Linux user, this operating system may make me change my mind. @dhh I would love to do an interview with you about @OmarchyLinux
SteamOS may soon have a competitor in the gaming OS space. It's called Omarchy and already supports Steam, Heroic, Lutris, RetroArch, Battle.net, GeForce Now and Xbox Cloud Gaming. Developers are also starting to build games specifically for the platform. Follow @dhh for all the breaking developments.
Now this is something to get excited about!
Build your band, hit the stage, and go on tour! 🤘

• New ways to play and more!
👉️ Pre-order game & hardware now at StageTour.com.
Now this this is impressive. Can you imagine the useful applications? Digital lighting in a physical studio? Who knows.
Depth-aware light injection in TypeGPU
I got a 448x448 monocular depth model down to ~8 ms on my M4 Pro across ~250 dispatches, which is fast enough to use in realtime :D
Since the inference is written directly in TypeGPU, I can just feed the depth buffer straight into the lighting pass. It never has to leave the GPU or go through any extra synchronization/interop step
Inference, lighting and draw all go through the same command encoder.
Love the style, the flow, the music, and that ending. Hooked! Hope we’re getting an OST too @horacedodd
NIGHT DRIVE — EP. 1: “IT FOLLOWED ME” 🌙
Izzy has a secret she doesn’t want her boyfriend Marlon to know.
He knows she goes out at night. What he doesn’t know is where she really goes—or what she does once she gets there.
Tonight, one of those secrets may be getting a little too close to home.
Welcome to NIGHT DRIVE,
An original animated series.
Always great chatting with you @HoldenZA I'm looking forward to seeing all the action from @AfricanGaming #AGC26 next week. One day, I'll enter a mobile tournament, but that day is not today😅
This is wild stuff! US gov forces Anthropic to take Fable 5 down for all users. WTF?
As a result of a US government directive, we are suspending access to Claude Fable 5 for all users. You can continue to use all other Claude models.
Here’s what this means for you:
Across Claude products, new sessions will run on your selected default model or Opus 4.8, and existing Fable 5 sessions will end with an error.
On the Claude Platform, requests to Fable 5 will also return an error. Please update your integrations to other Claude models.
We know this is a disruption to your workflows; we appreciate your patience and support.
One of the best sounding gaming headsets I’ve reviewed to date, also the most expensive. Worth every cent though! Next up is Beyerdynamic, I have their new gaming headsets in hand. ….keep an eye on NAG if you have a slightly more modest budget.
The @ASUS_za ROG Kithara is one of those rare gaming products that have taken things so far that it’s become one of the best in its category. If you are a bit of an audiophile, then this headset review is for you.
If you are a fan of Scary Movie, this is for you. One of the best uses of AI in Marketing I have seen yet. Tell Ghostface what to do - naturally I said, gaming: subservientghostface.com/
The @pureelectric_uk range of scooters have launched in South Africa and I was suitably impressed riding them around the track. The new forward facing design makes for more comfortable riding. Available at pureelectricza.co.za/
