Vital steps for England's lockdown easing set out by the PM today. As the Labour Leader himself said in response, we need to recognise the risks of inaction. Risks with keeping businesses & our economy closed, & of keeping families apart. All eyes on Wales' First Minister now.
Many, many thanks @DesmondSwayne for all your support for our industry over the last few months - hopefully we can stop pestering you now!! @BHHPA @BHHPAros

Good news on guests showing symptoms: after lobbying by us and others, the Govt has today changed it’s official guidance to a more sensible position: see extract below; full guidance at GovUK page here: gov.uk/guidance/covid-19-adv…

Dear @BorisJohnson
Campsites have weeks until autumn. To deny families the great outdoors & single them out for extended lockdown against scientific logic and international experience, is to sign their business death warrant.
@10DowningStreet @michaelgove
Please support us, we’re fighting for the future of our business and our family. Why are camp sites singled out as not able to open? We can demonstrate that we can operate as safely as any other hospitality provider @DesmondSwayne
Please consider @10DowningStreet @michaelgove @OliverDowden @HuddlestonNigel
If campsites closed, motorhome, tent & caravan owners will camp elsewhere: lay-bys, car parks, beaches and ...

Sad times!
Incredibly busy day working with @EngNewForest rangers & keepers, police & fire service: non-stop callouts to unauthorised camps, bbqs/fires, pony petting, swimming and inflatables in Hatchet Pond, litter, verge parking & blocked roads #TeamNewForest
So true, if there were more options for people the beaches, parks and national parks wouldn’t be so rammed!

Agree absolutely!
Time ticks on and the season is slipping away with no income to holiday and touring park businesses
Thank you @julianknight15 🙏🙏🙏
This is the right approach but also we need sector specific soft landings so not to impair economic growth/capacity...high growth @CommonsDCMS sectors should be in forefront of this!

Some hospitality sectors are socially distant by design, including self-contained accommodation on holiday & touring parks
