I studied 10,000+ YouTube Community posts from channels with 200 to 17M subscribers.
What makes a post reach a bigger audience?
What’s the most engaging type of content?
Do community posts even matter?
What’s the point?
Here’s my findings:

Anybody here into reading fiction books, like thrillers or fantasy? I’m working on a side project that’s like Goodreads, but nerdier... looking for some feedback
Really feels like @YouTube and @GeminiApp are up to something special.
New lightweight (fast) video player launched & they're aggressively pushing the PWA app when you go there now. Same for YouTube Music. Gemini app just launched on Windows.
Seems like we're on the doorstep...
One of the coolest things I’ve ever done. The amount of talented people here is ridiculous. Excited to see what comes out today! @OpenAI
New unlock now that @claudeai can message other chats to mirror a natural internal company.
Fable (Director) > Opus (Manager) > Sonnet subagents (Employees)
Fable for planning > Opus for orchestrating.
Now easier to talk to both directly as well for steering/audits.
I know Jake has been working hard on some really unique & novel tools lately to help YouTubers understand their channel & audience more.
There's a lot of thought & experience behind these, so I'd highly recommend checking out some of the things he's been putting out recently.
Pro tip: Go to See More > Filter: Audience Segments > look at how each audience segment behaves in the hook portion of the graph.
Fix this first. New audience is normally your best sign. Likely a bad transition, too much rambling, or bad graphic usage.
I don’t know if I’ve experienced worse customer support than from @WalkingPad. Be careful buying from them. Delayed responses, no formal troubleshooting, and was told “maybe it would be approved for return” multiple times despite arriving broken and within 30 day window. Weird.
For anyone doing AI thumbnails, you should know a 1-shot approach is terrible. This is the way it should be done.
I think AI-heavy thumbnails are for a younger audience, so not my thing, but if you're creating using AI then perhaps you'll find some great ways to use this.
I just had a full conversation with @GeminiApp in @googlechrome about NBA articles, had it AUTO-NAV and explore ALL of the top headlines on @espn. Normally I'd click and read, but I was able to queue up a convo and go about my business.
This is incredible!

I’ve been playing around with vibe coding and built a fun little project.
It’s kinda like LinkTree, but only for book recommendations.
It lets you share your favorite books with your followers to show you what you stand for (plus you can make a little money through affiliates)
Tags on YouTube are just clues for AI to learn what you're saying in videos when it's not sure what you said.
Tags + Video Language (+Region) helps your transcripts be more accurate and for their machines to learn what you're actually saying.
STOP treating them as metadata.
The fastest way to rank on Google page 1 is with a YouTube video.
🔴 NOT a blog post.
🔴 NOT a long SEO checklist.
What most people miss: you can rank twice for the same search with a post + video.
Ranking isn’t hard. People just keep choosing the slowest format.
Anyone I know in Los Angeles that is capable of handling some documents in DTLA and sending them out?
Please DM if you're in the area and open to handling some docs. Can compensate for your time.
Most people optimize their YouTube videos to include everything they know. The best ones optimize for what they can remove.
Justin is an incredibly remarkable person in this space.
Anyone pulling him in will be lucky to have him and any mutual I have in the influencer/gaming/contracts (and more) area should be proactively reaching out to secure him before someone else does.
After 9 incredible years, my time at @Twitch has come to an end as part of today’s Amazon layoffs.
It’s been the best job I’ve ever had. I’ve grown so much, met amazing creators and coworkers, and lived for TwitchCon every year.
My resume is updated and I’m open to new roles. 💜
Everyone's building complex AI workflows for YouTube hooks.
I use 2 prompts and a reference doc that builds a reusable hook library.
30 seconds. Unlimited hooks. Sounds like you. Repeatable forever.

Sharing these types of insights and some nuggets on how to use this is so valuable!
Jake has one of the best minds in the YouTube game for packaging, so the fact that he's sharing his insights is something a lot of people should be paying attention.
More of this, please.
