Pulled up to the Mix & Mingle at @IlorinHub today and honestly I had a good time. I was shy at first because I don’t really socialize much. But I met someone I knew, talked to a few new people and settled in. I’m learning to just show up, even when I feel awkward.

Tbh, I think most people already know this, but we can’t just sit around doing nothing. Apply to as many as possible, and you might just get lucky.

I came across @uponrh on Robinhood Chain and the concept is actually interesting. up is a DEX, but what caught my attention is how it directs liquidity. Users can lock UP to get veUP, which gives them voting power.

veUP holders can vote on which liquidity pools should receive UP rewards in the next weekly epoch. Liquidity providers follow those incentives, which means more liquidity. More liquidity can lead to better trading execution, attracting more traders and generating more fees.

And those fees go back to the veUP voters. So basically, people lock their UP, vote on the pools, liquidity providers follow the incentives, more traders come in, fees are generated, and voters get rewarded. That's the simple idea behind up.

Was checking out @RobinhoodApp on @DefiLlama today and came across this project, @uponrh. Not even sure why, but something about it caught my attention. 👀 I’ll be doing a deep dive tomorrow and sharing whatever I find. Let’s see what’s cooking.

Web3 still remains one of the web3 industry you can find yourself in this world, factor money aspect out and look at the things it does for you free of charge, it’s a self improvement tool on it own, I just love being here

New month. Back to being consistent. More Web3 breakdowns, more things I’m learning, and hopefully a few ideas that make you see things differently.

A lot of AI projects in crypto are just wrappers around hype. The real winners will be the ones solving distribution, compute, or data ownership problems.

Web2 and Web3 mainly differ in what they focus on. Web2 is built for simplicity, apps are easy, fast, and familiar to use, but users have limited control over their data or assets. Web3 is built around user control and ownership, but that comes with more complexity and friction.

Everybody is trying to be somebody nowadays. The most scarce resource today is authenticity, being yourself unapologetically.

Founders and teams will likely keep doing this. But community members will also start realizing when they’re being used for hype before a dump at TGE, and will become more cautious about where they put their time and trust
Tons of projects use their community to gain traction, then totally sideline them at TGE. Then they crime pump their token 10x after TGE, making money on perps and by dumping team allocations on CEXs. Terrible trend, but I fear we're gonna see more of this as teams realize that what they're building is inherently worthless, and their token will go to zero before they can cash out if they follow the traditional path

Web3 projects often miss how much culture affects adoption. People in China and the U.S. can engage very differently, with different expectations and behavior. Many fail by using one global approach, while the best ones focus on understanding people, not just tech
