NEW: Pro-Palestinian students at a University of Chicago Boeing recruitment panel on April 24 took control of the projector to confront attendees with the human cost of American weapons used in Gaza. The panel ended early as organizers from UChicago United for Palestine displayed scenes of bombings and Palestinians crying out in grief and horror in their aftermath across Gaza.
Boeing supplies GBU-39 Small Diameter Bombs and JDAM kits—munitions Israel has used to devastating effect in Gaza. The GBU-39 is designed to unleash shrapnel over a wide radius; when dropped on densely populated neighborhoods, it shreds bodies and has contributed to the killing of scores of civilians, including children.
