And I had pennies thrown in front of me at school. Bore off.
I have never in my 7 years of teaching witnessed antisemitism in schools. Are we seriously conflating the teaching of the Israeli-Palestinian “conflict” and students/staff standing with Palestine as antisemitism? We are finished

Sally Rooney, of her own free will, publicly said that proceeds from her book sales would go towards an organisation which was proscribed after its members infiltrated an RAF base and damaged military aircraft. Every signatory knows this. As does the New Statesman.
OPEN LETTER: Sally Rooney is a writer, not a terrorist. Her books must be available to the public. Their withdrawal from sale, on the basis of ill-conceived and draconian anti terror legislation, is an affront to basic principles of free speech and expression so long taken for granted in this country. We categorically reject censorship - whether direct or indirect - and urge the government to change course, amending the legislation which has led us to this point of repressive absurdity.

My ticket for home champions league games is £62. This isn’t a price issue - it’s a city being a small club issue
Cheapest (non-ST) ticket for tonight being ~£35 is shite and the club should sort it. Most group stage games a few years ago were £20odd, wages in the country haven't improved and now we have an extra group stage fixture. They clearly don't care about stadium being full.

They won't feel the impact and Semenyo's injury in anyway. And that's the sporting advantage they got from their cheating. Grealish flopped they went and bought Doku, Doku flopped, they got Marmoush. Savinho flopped they went and got Semenyo. Semenyo had a little down time they went and got Ndiaye. For idiots who don't see how Manchester City got a sporting advantage, this clearly explains it. With Semenyo injured now, they just had the options of Ndiaye and Cherki. Something other clubs who play by the rules can't afford.

So for two years they’re gonna take points off Championship clubs and cost them potentially promotion playoffs etc, with it having no benefit for them? How fun for the Championship to be forced to deal with this mess…
Soundings from insiders suggest the most likely punishment for #ManCity is a huge points deduction which will ensure relegation to the Championship, plus a huge fine. The Premier League are pressing for @ManCity’s punishment to be announced before the appeal result, which is unlikely to be decided before the end of January. It is also possible the punishment would include a further points deduction effectively confining the club to the Championship for at least one more season. The EFL would not be obliged to accept that, but it is probable they would. [via @MailSport]

Cheated their way to multiple trophies for almost a decade just to spend a couple seasons in the championship then start over again like nothing happened Disgraceful 👍
🚨 BREAKING: Manchester City are expected to face a HUGE points deduction that would guarantee relegation to the Championship, following guilty verdicts on the vast majority of their 115 financial charges. A further points deduction next season could keep City in the Championship for at least TWO seasons. Relegation to League Two is considered unlikely. [Daily Mail]

Two seasons in the Championship isn't enough for me. They should be sent to the bottom of the football pyramid that they cheated & destroyed. Allows every team in England to benefit in some way from them moving back up the ranks.

I mean, if this is the case, Newcastle might as well pump a billion in and in 2041-2042 be in the Championship for one season. Hardly a deterrent.

A woman being torched in the face, a female police officer assaulted while being called a ‘whore’, a new mother threatened with rape. Violent misogyny has been a distinct feature of these riots while so-called ‘feminists’ predictably look the other way.
Stomach-turning scene in Paris! A mother threatened with rape by looters while at home with 3-month old baby last night because she pleaded for them not to destroy small telephone shop of her neighbour, told by sadistic Trotskyists: that's "collateral damage" of the revolution!

Doing a ball-drop to see if the pitch is playable whilst standing in a foot of water is absolutely outstanding

Carlos Baleba & Kobbie Mainoo are hope for the future in midfield. Leny Yoro in defence. There is a core you can build around. This squad is so much better than this. It has real potential, but so many weaknesses that define it. Years of horrible transfers. One of the most powerful clubs in the world hamstrung financially. Owners more likely to take money out than put it in, either uninterested or too involved in decision making. A lack of investment across the club, like in backroom staff. This is the club the Glazers & INEOS built (destroyed).

Israel should be taking more draconian action against violence by Israelis in the WB. There is one structural problem. Israeli police don’t operate in the West Bank, the military does. The military is trained to operate against enemy military forces, not to act as a police force against Israelis. So there needs to be a special unit or something which it’s past time to create. But it’s not all givernment obstinance.

Remember when people were saying that 'we should feel sorry for their fans'? Yeah.... no. They simply do not care that they cheated. They will fully believe their club is innocent even if they are found guilty by all 2000+ KCs in the country. They don't deserve any sympathy
Boos, chants, a ‘Shameless’ banner and a load of bananas, during the Premier League anthem (feels like more of a jingle?)

Do I “over identify” with Israel?
A mother was referred to Prevent and visited by police at home because of her visit to Israel and her interest in“Jewish issues”. In yet another shocking case, Holly Passmore, a mother of two from County Durham, was visited at home last July by two plain-clothes police officers who wanted to know why she had recently travelled to Israel. The officers told Ms Passmore, who cares for her severely autistic nine-year-old son, that it was a “safeguarding issue”. A police intelligence report seen by The Telegraph reveals that the referral said she “over-identified with the conflict between Israel and Palestine” and was “supportive of Israel to the point that she has travelled to Israel”. It also described her as having “MH” — meaning mental health — issues and being “vulnerable to negative influence”. Three days after the visit, Ms Passmore lodged a complaint. Two more officers, including a superintendent, then came to her home. “They said that, clearly, I’m not a terrorist,” she recalled, explaining that they were keen to reassure her that police did not consider her a threat or an extremist. “I thought that was strange at the time. You don’t usually end up with a superintendent on your couch.” Ms Passmore’s concerns deepened when she discovered that her NHS records had been updated to describe her as a “vulnerable adult”, before later being changed to say she was no longer vulnerable. It is now even more clear that Prevent is being weaponised by activists to silence people for their lawful and legitimate views. These vexatious complaints also waste police time and resources. Enough is enough. Read more in @Telegraph 👇
