This evening SAR 2 was called out for a capsized vessel near Belcarra. A passing vessel brought the 4 people to shore. We secured the vessel to the shore and called Enviromental Response to attend. @VicJRCC_CCCOS #bcsar #rcmsar

Yesterday #RCMSAR 2 & 2B were out training when they were tasked to help a Sailboat that had run aground at Spanish Banks. Crews were able to pull the Sailboat back to safe water. #BCSAR #Vancouver @VicJRCC_CCCOS

At 2pm this afternoon #RCMSAR 2b was paged by @VicJRCC_CCCOS for a small boat that had capsized off Barnet Marine Park. Our crew arrived, pulled 1 male out of the water, and transferred him to @BC_EHS & @BurnabyFireDept crews for assessment. #bcsar

It’s been reported that members of the French lifeboat service SNSM have lost their lives today in a rescue. This is tragic news and a shock to all of us in the lifesaving family. Times like this remind us how perilous the water can be. Our thoughts go out to all involved.

Thank you to the Coast Guard and RCM-SAR teams who rescued an unconscious person on a drifting sailboat yesterday. The individual made a complete recovery and a serious incident was prevented. Your hard work is appreciated! @CoastGuardCAN @RCM_SAR
