At some point we need to stop pretending this is normal. Trump’s accounts bought up to $100,000 in bonds tied to Georgia’s Plant Bowen. 57 days later Trump exempted that plant from tougher EPA pollution rules. His accounts bought between $250,000 and $500,000 in Boeing stock. That same day the Navy awarded Boeing a contract worth up to $880 million. His portfolio bought $1 million to $5 million in Dell stock. Nine days later Trump is standing there telling people to “go out and buy a Dell computer.” He bought more Dell stock after that. Then the Pentagon awarded Dell a contract worth up to $9.7 billion. Meanwhile a UAE-linked firm put $500 million into the Trump family’s crypto company while Trump is making policy that directly affects both the UAE and the crypto industry. And a South Korean company paid Trump’s holding company $2 million while a company it was heavily invested in had a tariff matter before his Commerce Department. The President of the United States is personally invested in companies his government regulates, gives contracts to and makes policy affecting. His family is taking hundreds of millions of dollars from foreign interests affected by decisions he makes as president. This is exactly why presidents traditionally separated themselves from their businesses and investments. The grift is happening right out in the open.

Most people don't seem to care about this but it's one of those things we'll look back on in horror one day. We're literally paying countries to take human beings and then those countries discard them while pocketing US taxpayer money.
