Hummingbird hawk-moth spotted in the garden this evening. Never seen one before. Clearly likes verbena!

Wild white English bluebells. Don't think I've seen them before and I believe they are quite rare. Shame my camera hasn't focused very well!

Lovely to find my mother enjoying reading @drichardson347 latest book yesterday. The first chapter was about a trip she won in @YoungFarmers in 1962 to Holland, sponsored by Vicon (now part of @kubota @KvernelandGroup ). Great stuff David 👍

Not really sure why Dr Andrew Boswell is making a legal challenge to improvements to Norwich's A47 due to vehicle emissions/climate change. New car sales are overwhelmingly electric. Vans and trucks will be next. Norfolk roads, whilst charming perhaps, are fairly awful!

I'm a huge fan of @elonmusk but Twitter will need decent advertisers, not companies selling cheap crap. My first purchase from a Twitter advertiser is VERY disappointing AND no paperwork/details sent with the goods for returns 😡. Customer experience must be paramount!

Lost count of the number of times I've seen dust carts spewing litter when travelling at speed. A trail of paper and plastic for miles today again. Surely the dustcart designers can do better than this? A flappy curtain doesn't work!

Not part of the plan today. No.1 son getting a ride on a snow scooter then helicopter trip to hospital. Without the helmet it could have been much worse. Nobody else involved. Best to be certain with head injuries.

End of an era for me today. That's my last bit of farm machinery loaded up today ready to head north in the morning. Still got a few Vaderstad spares etc to sell but otherwise my life has changed direction following the devastating fire 3 years ago. New beginnings.

Just thinking about the animal lovers pouring milk over supermarket floors. How many I wonder have pets? Did those puppies/kittens not get taken away from their mothers? Most calves at least remain close to their mothers for a couple of years at least?

I'm missing Flindt on Friday in @FarmersWeekly Not sure I'll bother renewing my subscription to be honest - Charlie's column always made me smile and often laugh. Hope @FlindtTowers writes again sometimes but otherwise enjoys a great retirement.

Interesting that Northamptonshire council have bought the former M&S and BHS stores and are going to demolish them to build flats. No planning issues there then! Try doing that as an individual and the obstacles councils put in your way are endless! #planning

Quadratic/ simultaneous equations, cosines - does anyone use them after school? Isn't it more 'commercial' maths we need to help us succeed? Percentages, margins, VAT, averages, weights and measurements and good mental maths - they are the life skills that are really important.
