It's really weird that networks in the 2000s were like "rape jokes funny because sex" but when a show literally showed the consequences they tried to cancel it because it was too far. I wonder why.

pocahontas was a real life native girl named matoaka and she was kidnapped, raped & killed, & john smith was a real colonizer. disney exploited her name, romanticized her life, & her tribe still exists today. she will never be a “princess” & is a victim of colonialism/genocide

The idea that Grace was on track to become an heiress princess in an european aristocratic family living in castles and shit, only to be taken over by a blacklisted freelance reporter, and now she has to work her ass off at a 9 to 5. I would be mad as shiiii

IDK how anybody can be a Friday the 13th fan and then complain about the backstory in Crystal Lake, when the movies involves Jason going to space, getting resurrected by a lightning bolt, battling Freddie Krueger... Crystal Lake is totally in line with the entire franchise.

I was raised in a homophobic, transphobic and racist family. I unlearned it all. I grew up and learned to love. How you're raised is no excuse for being a bigot.

Having Stolas say Blitz can't have been coerced since he was the top and the show framing that as correct is easily the most disgusting, offensive, and disturbing thing Helluva has done

Replies swarmed with "how could he abuse stella, isn't he gay?"
We incest victims should be allowed to kill people by the dozens actually because why the hell do people think it's solely dependent on attraction?? Most predators are opportunistic and don't suffer from paraphilias

no matter how much they try to make the audience hate her and portray her as an annoying brat who's pure evil she looks more and more like the victim of all the men around her

LITERALLY, and even if the way he acted with Nancy wasn’t already clear enough, the phone scene, the bathtub scene, etc. (weird af, but okay. I guess some of us weren’t watching with our eyes open)
They literally do EXPLICITLY say outright in Freddy vs Jason (2003, LONG before the remake) during the police station nightmare sequence “he loves children, especially little girls”
Like, THE FUCK did you all think they meant by that?? Can we be serious for 2 seconds??
