I love this take by @Cgrimes3 on what good looks like for public engagement, including research. The considered, person-centred, behaviourally underpinned nature is key. It's not rocket science, but how often do we honestly see it in practice?
More of this please 🙏🏼
May I offer some reflection on Public engagement
1 It needs meticulously planning
2 A robust, trusted facilator @PatientClient
3 Use creativity as a bridge to those conversations spcare.bmj.com/content/13/Su…
4 Have accessibility and inclusion as core principles of engagement 1/2

It's National Beach Day 🏖️
We all value a clean beach, but most of us are guilty of littering.
Using behavioural science, PhD Researcher @RachLSingleton is focusing on developing interventions that will lend a hand in keeping our beaches pristine.

Discovering new places.
Uncovering familiar behaviours.
Unintentional littering happens in many ways including "neat littering". My research sees understanding why we litter the places we love as being pivotal to addressing it.

Seems timely to post about Belfast's beauty.
Sunset walk and swim with the hound.

A Midsummer Night's Dream indeed! What a wonderful experience at the opening night @LyricBelfast
Being immersed in this joyous riot of colour and sound was a tonic. Can't recommend highly enough.

Embedding sustainability benefits from:
○ Gaining insights from outside - collaboration
○ Moral imagination - for an alternative cognitive framework
○ Translating the value of sustainability
○ Hardening our focus on 'soft' skills
○ Designing for behaviour change

Celebrating being able to walk more than 50metres without crutches for the first time in almost 3mths by heading to Cairn Wood with the hound.
Some things are worth the wait.

How might we:
at the thresholds, the margins of our disciplines, transcend to serve the marginalised?
work together to mend; to identify what can be mended and what can't?
recognise and value the liminal space of art & science?
