Long before internet, the US Weather Bureau placed kiosks across the country to disseminate weather information. Today, only one kiosk remains, and it's in Knoxville at the corner of Clinch and Market Streets. More details about the weather kiosk - vlab.noaa.gov/web/nws-herita…

Year of the Miller A Nor’Easter? This map produced by Dr Wall is based on a rolling average of 24 runs of the CFS v2. The implication from the CFS here is for over 200% above normal snowfall for much of Pennsylvania. Further south in the Appalachians that percentage goes way higher as the averages are significantly lower. If you’re paying attention, we now have 2 major Seasonal Models screaming the same signal… the Appalachians are in for an Epic snow season. #winteriscoming #wxtwitter #wxX
CFSv2 12z snowfall departure for JFM 2027. Back loaded season incoming? Also, looks like I need to extend the scale…

It’s wild to watch the truth about Fauci and Covid come to light, and the public are just kind of like “yeah get on with it”. The lies and corruption were so obvious in real-time, that the disclosure phase feels lackluster. It also doesn’t help that the Left-wing MSM are completely uninterested in reporting on all this, because that would mean that they would have to admit that they were wrong and complicit in these crimes against humanity, so everything is being transmitted via social media. (The revolution will not be televised) It’s just so surreal for the truth to come out, that covid was man-made, masks/distancing was all made-up nonsense, the vaccines were not safe and effective, etc., and there’s not even a peep of outrage from the outrage machine. They are more concerned about “trans rights” in the WNBA, than they are about the fact that the government made bioweapon that “got out” and killed millions of people, and then conspired with the media to lie about it and cover it up… It just proves that all public “outrage” is manufactured, and the sheep are only mad when instructed to be.

So, in Soccer, if someone just brushes up against a player, they fly backwards like a shotgun hit them, then scream and cry, while rolling around on the floor like there is an earthquake. Meanwhile, in American sports, a guy gets hit in the balls, ruptures a testicle... gets up... keeps playing, gets a base hit and then waits until the game is over to go to the hospital and have surgery. Do you understand why Soccer never really caught on here? xitter.cf/TonyRav/status/2079689…
This fucking guy literally singled with one of his balls leaking. Gutsiest player of all time.

This is exactly what happened in 1974 -- we have tried permanent daylight saving time before, and the House repealed it after a few months by a vote of 383-16 because it was widely hated. But some people refuse to learn history. joshbarro.com/p/this-week-in…
A lot of people are going to realize this was a terrible idea, but only after they are driving to work on cold, dark, sleepy mornings for several months every winter.

America already made daylight saving time permanent once. In December 1973, 79% of Americans supported it and Nixon signed it into law. By February 1974, eight weeks into the experiment, support had collapsed to 42%. The policy never changed. Winter arrived. Sunrise in Washington DC came at 8:27am. Kids left for school in total darkness, carrying flashlights and wearing reflective tape. When Congress moved to repeal, members cited the deaths of eight Florida schoolchildren in the first weeks of the change. The energy case collapsed too. The whole point was the oil embargo, and the Department of Transportation concluded the fuel savings were too small to matter. Ten months after signing it, Congress repealed it and Ford put the country back on standard time. There's a mechanism that makes this cycle repeat: permanent DST is only ever voted on when the sun is up. Polls run in the abstract, votes happen in warm months, and the benefit, a free hour of evening light, is easy to imagine year-round. The cost is concentrated in about 10 weeks of dark winter mornings and only becomes real after implementation. So the policy polls beautifully right up until January. Today's vote happened in July. The 1974 law passed in December, right before the exact winter that killed it. If this clears the Senate, the first real test arrives in January 2027, when sunrise in Indianapolis comes after 9am. Sleep researchers have watched this loop for 50 years, which is why the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the AMA, and the National Sleep Foundation all back the opposite reform, permanent standard time. Congress just picked the one version of clock reform America has already tried, hated, and repealed.
BREAKING: House votes 308-117 to make daylight saving time permanent, sending the bill to the Senate.

Don't believe your lying eyes. Just believe that technology is perfect 100% of the time.
BREAKING: There is a censor in the World Cup football that detected a touch when the Croatian player attempted the header. vAR was able to use this information to give the offside. Debate over.

I'm convinced the bump in the graph is showing the contact with the Portuguese player, not the Croatian player, and that the video/image is not perfectly synced with the graph.
The Croatia disallowed goal 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗗: This is the only image that matters. The snicko technology goes off at the exact moment Matanović heads the ball. So the Croatian player DID touch it, and Mario Pašalić was OFFSIDE. 🇭🇷🚩 It was the correct call.

A word about the so-called snicko graph that “proved” croatia striker matanovic touched the ball. Darren Cann (referee decisions commentator on the BBC and, unfortunately for him, one of the least convincing men ever to see a microphone) said he was “100% certain” there was a touch that caused pasalic to be offside. He based that certainty on “snicko” technology as this proved the touch. This is what referee and VAR used to rule out the goal. But even if you think snicko is a good idea (I don’t) there’s a massive problem with the snicko graph. IT’S DOESN’T LINE UP WITH THE PICTURES! Snicko shows one spike and we’re asked to believe that was the matanovic touch. But there are 4 or 5 touches on the ball in a few seconds (the cross - matanovic? - portugal defender veiga - croatia’s pasalic - then gvardiol scoring). Snicko shows one? They have to show a graph where all five touches (if there are five) are represented and where the graph spikes line up perfectly with the footage. That would remove all doubt. The way it was presented makes no sense and looks corrupt to the core.

If the ball barely touched the Croatian player, and produced that bump on the graph, then where is the bump on the graph a fraction of a second later when it obviously hits the Portuguese player? There should be two bumps. Is the graph perfectly timed with the video?
Thierry Henry blasts the referee and VAR after Croatia's last-minute goal against Portugal was ruled out: 🗣️ “I don't understand that decision at all. For me, the referee and VAR have completely ruined what should have been one of the greatest moments of this World Cup. You cannot overturn a goal of that magnitude unless the evidence is absolutely clear. I've watched the replay several times, and I still don't see enough to confidently rule it out. If it's taking that long to draw lines and freeze frames, then it isn't obvious. The referee has allowed technology to become the star of the match. Fans didn't come to watch VAR—they came to watch football. Croatia thought they had earned a dramatic equaliser through courage and determination, only for it to be taken away by a decision that will divide opinions for years. This is exactly why people are losing faith in VAR. Instead of correcting obvious mistakes, it's making microscopic decisions that nobody in the stadium can understand. That's not what football is supposed to be. I feel for the Croatian players because moments like this stay with you forever. You celebrate, you believe you've kept your World Cup dream alive, and then it's all erased in seconds. For me, the referee and VAR have got this completely wrong.”

This image confronts us with two of the greatest scandals of Christianity. The first scandal is that none of us are good enough for heaven. Most people compare themselves to serial killers, dictators, rapists, and criminals and conclude, "At least I'm not that bad." But God does not compare us to Jeffrey Dahmer. He compares us to His own perfect holiness. Scripture says that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. The proud businessman, the moral neighbor, the avid atheist, the faithful churchgoer, and the murderer all stand guilty before a holy God apart from Christ. The second scandal is that God saves anyone at all. The real question is not, "How could God save someone like Dahmer if he truly repented and believed?" The real question is, "How could God save any of us?" Every person deserves judgment. Every person deserves separation from God. Salvation is never owed. It is never earned. It is pure grace from beginning to end. That is what makes the gospel so offensive to human pride. It tells the worst sinner that he can be forgiven through Christ, and it tells the best-looking sinner that he cannot save himself. The cross levels everyone. We are all condemned in Adam, and the only hope for any of us is Jesus Christ.
