When you take the cover off to find this!
I should have known when I saw BG.
Think someone had RCD tripping issues with 1 common RCD for all circuits π€... moving the kitchen socket circuit and pulling out the CPC's was their solution! π±
The more you look the worse it gets! π³
Advice fellow sparks. ππΌ
Been asked to install a public accessible AED on a village hall.
Worked out the supply needed is just for a frost heater and a light.
Anything I need to consider when installing these? Dedicated circuit? Height? Anything to indicate power loss?

Massive traction being gained on this Holy petition now.
It's nearly 25% of the way there.
But that's not good enough to get it debated in Parliament.

Cowboys keeping me in business as always π€ ...
...New circuit going in for a 5.9kW oven I found on an EICR to be fed from a 20A switch on the kitchen ring final.

Gotcha!! ππ
Hunting down dodgy joints on a Saturday morning...
... any other Xmas Weekend Warriors grafting out there today?
Must be the last few days before Christmas... feels like I'm getting a call or message every 10 minutes to change light fittings before Xmas.
Same every year. π
Changing over old ELV downlighters to GU10 cans today.
It shouldn't be rare, but it's always appreciated when the previous sparks makes it easy for you and did the install properly!
I hope he or she heard the "nice one, cheers mate" when I pulled them down. πππΌππΌ
Arrived on site at 10pm.
Just gone 5am and I've finally got my permit and isolations to do my work. π€¦π»ββοΈ
Been off here for a while; what's new with everyone? π
Just finished an installation on a lovely garden building...
... Bit of thinking on this one; only single skin but I wanted no cables or containment on show on the inside.
Awkward, but worth the result.
Sunday family favour:
Move an oven out so they can clean behind it.
Oh, I'll deal with that then.
Everytime. π
What he said! ππΌ
Replying to @raimonick
It's a problem with all electrical installations.
Β£50k on a new car but Β£1k for the charger is far too expensive
Β£30k new kitchen but let's keep the old wiring from 40 years ago because it still works
Β£100k home extension but we'll get the builder to sling in some cables because it's much cheaper than a proper electrician
