A message from the boss... Commandant General #RoyalMarines, General Gwyn Jenkins, speaks as final preparations are made ahead of the #Coronation this weekend. 🔽
It is a huge honour to have over 600 Royal Marines from the Band and General Services contributing to the Royal Coronation. We are humbled to have His Majesty as Captain General, the ceremonial head of the Royal Marines, and to share such a long and rich history with the Royal Family dating back to our creation in 1664 under King Charles II

Last night, beneath the glow of London’s street lamps, 4,000 sailors, soldiers and aviators paraded through the empty streets of the Capital as they mounted their final full-scale rehearsal of the Coronation processions ahead of 6 May.

Today we said our fairwells to Bryn Parry, the founder of @HelpforHeroes. A magnificent man who made a massive difference to the way our wounded veterans are treated. "If not now? When, if not me, who?

I worked with Zac when he was my Sgt Maj @45CdoGp, then a few years later @42_commando where he was the RSM for Telic. This story in the paper really doesn't surprise me about him.@CommandoTRG centre just builds @RoyalMarines differently. plymouthherald.co.uk/news/pl…

When you wake up this morning take a second to think about what a privilege it is to be alive! Then think of all the opportunities you have or you can create to build a life for yourself that you can be proud of and that you can enjoy. You have the power to do it all, so do it.

Bryn Parry, who redefined veterans care in this Country during the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, is extremely unwell. He changed hundred of lives of those who sacrificed the most for this nation; has a huge place in my heart and theirs; thoughts are with him and Emma at this time.
