Misinformation is winning not because it's true, but because it’s loud, emotional, and everywhere.
It’s time for science to fight back. Aaron Mertz and I dissect the issue and offer solutions 👇

Our work to define the regional organization of the small intestine is online @NatureCellBio today: rdcu.be/dxWxy!! Make way for domains A – E and a new approach to track the molecular patterns of nutrient metabolism. Many thanks to @s_lefkopoulos
& our reviewers!

Check out our new preprint on the after-life of intestinal cells: biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…. Cells that are shed each day from our gut are thought to die immediately upon their dissociation from the tissue. Here we show that this is not the case (1/6).
It's wonderful to see the excitement about this work - thank you so much everyone for sharing and for your kind words!!
🍻to an incredible team in @OphirKlein lab esp postdoc community who moved mountains for some epic expts @WeixLaura @s_viragova @BrisaPalikuqi @cmcginnis92 P.Kasparek @karalmckinley + wonderful collaborators Dario Boffelli, @SItzkovitz, R.Locksley, @ZevGartner, @gardnerlabUCSF
