I loved @marmite for 65 years. Not now I realise it contains folic acid. Their reassurances are lazy and wrong. The jar has gone in the bin and I will NEVER buy it again. Well done @marmite @Unilever

“In the early 2060s, the white British will become a minority within the United Kingdom,” if immigration trends continue, warns demographer @MorlandDemog. He says Britain has changed more in his adult lifetime “than in the preceding thousand years”. In Brent, where he grew up, white Britons are now “perhaps 15% of the population”. “This is completely unprecedented.” Watch the full interview: youtu.be/Z2tplmZlhQU?si=fmGD…

So, it looks like the culprit in the Sir Ben Key scandal is a civil servant called Sarah Healey. According to my AI: "[She] is a senior British civil servant who has frequently championed gender equality, diversity, and feminist workplace principles throughout her career... Her intersection with feminist workplace policies and diversity initiatives is notable for several key reasons: Hybrid Work Advocacy for Women: In 2021, while serving as the Permanent Secretary for DCMS, Healey implemented a hybrid work policy requiring staff to spend two days in the office and three days working from home. She explicitly argued that working from home and using large online meetings improved visibility and equity for women, making it easier for those who traditionally struggled to speak up or be heard in male-dominated physical meeting rooms to contribute. [1] [1]Diversity Leadership: Across her senior civil service grades, Healey has made a concerted effort to reform traditional recruitment methods. She has prioritised boosting both social and gender diversity, particularly targeting junior recruitment pipelines to ensure more equitable representation within the UK Civil Service." The UK is stuffed on several fronts. Allowing woke maniacs like this to attack senior naval officers yet further crippled Britain's ability top defend itself. She should be sacked.

Marmite contains synthetic folic acid, whereas Vegemite is free of the wretched stuff. So even though Marmite tastes better, it is going to have to Vegemite from here on: UK Marmite (standard): Fortified with cyanocobalamin (synthetic B12), folic acid (synthetic folate), thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, and B6. Contains ~310 mg sodium per 5 g serving. Australian Vegemite (original): Fortified with cyanocobalamin and naturally occurring folate (from yeast biomass), plus B1, B2, B3, and B6. Contains ~235 mg sodium per 5 g serving. Source: thelivinglook.com/kitchen-ha…

Am I the only person who hates those Captcha things? "Tick the tiny photos that contain a bicycle with a flat tyre" or some such. My guess is that AI can pass such tests much more easily than me.

Examples of Neo-religious claptrap. It is worrying that so many people have been gulled into believing what is obvious bullshit.
I combed through hundreds of videos since the 1970s and put together this compilation Either we give the politicians, bureaucrats, and the activist class trillions of dollars and shut down the economy tomorrow or we're all gonna die 50 years of climate grift Enjoy

I am not saying that Canada should, or will, impose punitive tariffs on US ships passing through the Welland Canal. But it is the only way that ships from Detroit can get out to sea. Or back in. And it is entirely in Canada. Did Trump factor that in, I wonder?

I am noticing quite an increase of posts on X willing to acknowledge differences in average intelligence between the various races. That used to be pretty much taboo. How long before the mainstream media follow, I wonder?

Is there anyone who can mount a rational argument for immigration on moral grounds? No insults, please. From a religious perspective, both the Bible (particularly the OT) and the Koran are really quite xenophobic. From a Utilitarian perspective (and taking migration from Afghanistan into England as an example, to keep the debate within manageable limits): It is bad for England. More rape and other crime, more drain on social security etc. It is bad for Afghanistan. These are mostly young men who are needed in their own country to build prosperity there. And hopefully, replace the Taliban. You might well say that it is good for the migrants. But then again, stealing from the poor box in church is good for the thief. That does not make it morally good. From a legal perspective, it is illegal. That is not morally conclusive, but in ethics it is a rebuttable presumption. For the suicidal empathists, it might be said the English are better off than the Afghans, so it is morally right to give them whatever the English have. But that is not morality: it is a selfish feel-good factor, which can never be a moral reason for causing damage. Any takers? As I say, this is an issue for debate, not invective.

If these are really representative of the Home Office, then Britain has a serious problem.
🚨NEW: Home Office officials have been offered 11 different mental health support services to help them cope with fears over the English flag. Staff said the raising of the flag has left them “fearing for their lives.”

"Harry and Meghan should get security, say former home secretaries" reports The Times. Those on the right say the taxpayer should not have to fund this. "No: They perform no royal or other duties". Communists and their fellow travellers say "Yes: to each according to his need". Others might ask: Are they valuable to the British people?" To which the answer is: not really, no.

2 or 3 things are quite clear about the climate thing: It has been getting a bit warmer. But not by as much, or as unusually, as they are saying. And it has SFA to do with anything that Britain does or does not do by way of Net Zero.

The arguments for and against capital punishment are complex. I am not sure that I could do the hanging thing myself. But I think it is clear that the abolition of the death penalty has led to more innocent people being raped and murdered. And the money spent keeping murderers and rapists in prison could have saved many more lives by way of medical treatment. Then again, imagine the injustice of hanging Lucy Letby, who we know now know is entirely innocent...

We all have our individual reasons for our concerns about the Lucy Letby case- mine come from over 25 years of clinical practice in mental health and first seeing the early public psychological profiling of LL which rested very uneasily with me and made me want to understand the case more. IMHO, Criminologists, such as David Wilson, quickly assigned to her, crude textbook definitions of psychopathy and narcissism, yet those highly speculative labels contrast sharply with those who knew Lucy best. Her childhood friend, Dawn, spoke of her inherent kindness, and her professional colleagues, such as Erian Powell and Karen Rees described her as an exceptional and dedicated nurse who expressed profound distress over the allegations of deliberate harm from the consultants. Very importantly, her stable, loving upbringing further diverges from a typical developmental history of violent offending. The infamous post-it notes show a level of internal torment of which a true psychopath isn’t really capable. Phrases like, “I am evil, I did this” are contradicted with “slander, I did nothing wrong” and “I don’t deserve mum and dad” which seem to reflect an overwhelmed young woman collapsing under the weight of months of isolation, bullying, accusations of the worst crimes, and the consequent internal guilt- NOT a cold blooded killer. The popular profile presented to the public is a retrofitted caricature, not a rigorous or humane clinical assessment.

Here is a question. Marine Le Pen's proposed revision to the French constitution includes: "Article 4: Defines French nationality primarily by descent (at least one French parent); ends automatic jus soli (birthright citizenship)..." So: what about those who already have French citizenship, but no French parent? Are they to be stripped of citizenship? Perhaps they keep it, but are not counted as French for the purpose of their children? Similar questions might need answering in Britain in times to come if the shift to the right continues?
