The biggest factor the most people still don’t know, is the there was a mandatory list but according to law, people must have choice! The government though, gave a voluntary option to companies to add Synthetic Folic Acid to organic, wholemeal, gluten free etc too…which most companies including @waitrose @sainsburys @Tesco @AldiUK @LidlGB @Morrisons have all chosen to save on costs!!! Not one has responded. So it’s pass the buck - @UKLabour gave the option to them, they can blame each other. Whilst we have NO choice! Sign the petition and email your MP and demand scrutiny in parliament urgently. Letter with many challenges on this on my profile. It is unethical & illegal, & truly evil in my eyes.

The Government says individuals can avoid folic acid if they “choose to or need to”.
Why would they “need to”?
It is A CRIMINAL OFFENCE to “render food injurious to health” by adding to it.
Yet regulations made under that SAME LAW are mandating the addition of folic acid.

Folic acid should not be in foods. There are many risks, including to people with cardiac stents, cancers & B12 deficiencies. The list is long.
Also...
For pregnant women studies show an increased risk of:
1. pregnancy loss
2. multiple births (and all the complications that come with that)
3. gestational diabetes (and all the complications that come with that)
4. 20% increased cancer risk in mother
