These are the opposition-governed states in India. Can any of them claim better administration than even one BJP-governed state? The opposition rarely raises governance issues because it has nothing to show in that area. Instead, it gravitates toward quixotic agendas such as democracy, SIR, the Emergency, Hindu communalism, the Constitution, and caste. The BJP succeeds because it champions nationalism and stands up for Hindus, giving it an advantage over the opposition in elections. That is why no one gives a damn about the CJP or Rahul Gandhi.

Dharm ji’s life is complete. Enjoyable rural Punjabi childhood. Most handsome strong hunk. Drinks & flirting in youth which no-one minded. Became MP. Own production house. Two peaceful marriages. Successful children. Graceful relaxed old age. Left so much for family. Zero haters.

I am more aligned with what the BJP stands for than with what the Congress stands for today. I will criticise the government when it acts against the interests of the people of India, but I will not support an ideology that is anti-Hindu, anti-India, opposed to development, and dismissive of our security forces.

My dear Shahi ji, tomorrow they will announce the Nobel Prize for Yasin Malik, then Hafiz Saeed, and finally Omar Khalid. I doubt the Government of India can take the risk of congratulating this anti-India crusader, Pillai.
It’s been six days since this remarkable woman of Indian origin (see her story, attached) won the #NobelPeacePrize. And the Government of India, her ancestral homeland, hasn’t so much as congratulated her?! Shame on the petty men who have made such a deplorable decision.

Oh my God, not again. The bus driver's daughter—last time, we had a headmaster's son, and we paid a heavy price in terms of the lives of security forces and property. Another Burhan Wani?

Bhaskar Sir is going to demand a Nobel Prize for Yasin Malik soon. I wonder whether the daughter influenced the father or vice versa.
Richly deserved Nobel Peace prize - Bravo ma'm @NaviPillay1 - odd that Indian government has still not felicitated the courageous Justice - "Honouring Pillay is therefore not only about her biography; it is about upholding a principle."
scmp.com/opinion/world-opini… "I place Pillay firmly in the Socratic-Confucian lineage : might may prevail but that does not make it right, and even the strongest state is bound by law......the world needed to understand that the alternative is the situation Thrasymachus and Han described. The 2026 prize is a reminder that we can still choose the normative path." @SAMonitor @APLNofficial #NobelPeacePrize #GazaGenocide #Rwanda

#WATCH | Nagpur: Regarding the firing on Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis says, "I have assured Tiger Shroff that he need not worry. We will track down those responsible for this, and we will ensure complete safety; that is what we told him."

The attempted murder of Tiger Shroff evokes the 1980s and 1990s, when the underworld held sway in Bombay. Its political patronage was an open secret, and Sharad Pawar was seen as the umbrella under which it flourished. The Thackerays had their own favorites. Nearly every Bollywood celebrity paid ransom—except Dharam Paaji. When the underworld threatened him, he threatened them in return: if they laid a hand on him, all of Punjab, Haryana, western Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan would descend on Bombay. They never troubled him again.

Those unfamiliar with firearms and bullet trajectories don't understand how lucky Tiger Shroff is. He got a second chance at life—he’s simply lucky to be alive. The assailants wasn’t trying to scare him; the aim was to kill him. Pure providence.

Dharam Paaji was the real he-man, on and off screen—the actor whom the underworld never dared to threaten.

Nothing succeeds like success. This is a very well-made movie, with a modest cast and a lighthearted approach to mythology—mythological, but not overly so. It’s better made than Hanuman Ansh. Whatever the Dhars touch turns to gold. I thoroughly enjoyed it. A must-watch.

The attack on Tiger Shroff was caught live. The underworld is once again rearing its ugly head. The attack itself matters less than what happens next. The state’s resolve is at stake. What Yogi can do, Fadnavis may not.

Well, sir, I wish to disagree with you about her. You may have your ideological leanings, and that's fair enough. She was one of the few RW voices operating from Bengal, and she was hounded out. Those were the times when X was dominated by a leftist ecosystem. Nupur is indeed a brave girl. She has made her name through sheer hard work and endured much worse trolling than what she is being accused of. @UnSubtleDesi I am witness to your struggles Ms Nupur. More power to you.

CJP and Rahul Gandhi are the BJP’s greatest assets. The recent agitation has been portrayed as a game changer, with reports that thousands of paramilitary forces have been deployed in Delhi. In reality, Dipke, Saurabh, and Ranka on one side and Rahul on the other are hardly a force capable of posing any danger. Everything happening in Delhi creates a stir across the country, giving the impression that something major is unfolding. Yet they are raising no issue that could put the government on the back foot. Corruption, prices, taxes, agriculture, urban disorder, and jobs are nowhere to be seen in their agenda. There is a reason: Congress’s governance in the states where it is in power is much worse than the BJP’s. It is all just a नूरा कुश्ती.

Story Of The Day:
The Flute by the River
Between men and women, there is no love possible. There is passion .. and, if they are lucky, friendship.
As usual, she stood on the rooftop, hidden behind the tall parapet and the jaalis facing the house opposite. The sound of the flute always held her. She found herself humming an old film song under her breath.
How had this innocuous sound suddenly blossomed into something that controlled her?
He had been there all along. Why now?
His sister-in-law had helped her with maths when she was in school.
Those days, she would troop over to the older woman with her books, and the flute would disturb their lessons. Bhabhi would fume.
“He is good for nothing. Sing, paint, play the flute. He doesn't even go with Bauji to the gurdwara. At least he'd learn some hymns and bani."
Years passed. By the time she was in college, the flute no longer disturbed her. It drew her into a reverie.
Once, he came into the courtyard to drink water from the hand pump. Lean, handsome, young, with grey eyes that held her gaze. She blushed, and her mole grew darker.
"Sohni! Gathering the chillies? Such a small chore, and it's taking you so long!"
She had come up to fetch the chillies. Quickly, she gathered up the sheet they were drying on and came down, rubbing her eyes to escape her mother's scrutiny.
"The chillies are very sharp. They sting."
Her mother chastised her. "You are always avoiding helping at home. Either you are at Bhabhi's, or on the terrace, studying.
Sohni hugged her mother, her heart still humming with the flute. She was a tall, thin girl with a square face and a mole on her cheek that grew darker when she blushed. She was pretty in the way that youth allows.
Bhabhi had seen the blush and had begun to discourage her visits. The village would soon raise its eyebrows.
Her mother finally decided to send her to stitching classes.
On her way home, her feet would follow the flute to his room. One knock, and the door would open. He would paint her. When he looked up at her, the goosebumps would come, and the blush, and he would instinctively darken the mole.
She would pretend a mosquito had bitten her, scratch at her elbow, and leave quickly.
After her results, a proposal came from a distant family. She would not hear of it. She liked Pal.
"Pal?" her father thundered. Then, seeing the rebellion in her eyes, he softened. "Go and ask him what he does.”
For the first time, she burst into his room boldly .
"Tu kujh karda kyun nahin?"(why don’t you do anything)
He didn't look up. He hummed, dipped his brush, and made the mole a little darker.
"Eh karda haan main."(This is what I do)
She knew the flute, the painting, and the humming still controlled her. But in this life, he had lost her.
She gave in to the marriage.
Pal stayed quiet, sketching her and playing the flute for her.
Now he went to the riverbank. Her village lay across the river.
He only played and let the river carry his notes, as it carried the years.
She was happy and prosperous. But whenever she went to a wedding, the sound of a flute would disturb her. Her hand would go to her elbow.
Sohni was indifferent. But with every wedding, every flute, that changed. She worshipped the notes because they controlled her soul. She hated the man who played them.
Every time that rooftop song came on, she would switch the TV off.
The river went on flowing. The sound of the flute grew weaker with the years, like Pal's breath.
Sohni's husband passed away. They had no children.
She came back to live with her family. One evening, she went to the river and heard the flute.
There was silver in her hair now. He sat on the bank. She stood behind him, humming the song from the rooftop and rubbing her elbow. His flute was a faint hum.
He looked back.
"Tu hale vi kujh nahin karda na."
He raised his hand, as if to touch her mole.
They smiled and sat together on the bank.
